Did i actually get scammed?

Sold 20m to gentleman on this site (wont name names) because im not sure if i've been scammed or not. I sold him 20m in increments for .50/1m the payments came through and all was fine. before i knew it my money was being held by pay-pal for investigation. I've been talking with this gentleman for a day and he's said he contacted pay-pal, let me know everything they could and he's very sorry. I figured if i had gotten scammed he would dissapear but he's still talking to me assuring me ill receive it soon. What should i do? it's been at 12 hours since the money got put on hold.

 

PayPal is... a dick. Seriously. They have frozen payments for the stupidest things in the past.
I wouldn't be worried, PayPal probably was "WTF" over the many small payments.

 

Im not sure whether it's paypal holding the money due to security concerns or it was a chargeback, however it may be possible that said gentleman may be playing mind games with you.

 

It's not clear as to what's going on, PayPal could be holding the payment for their own reasons, or he could be disputing it. Be patient and be nice to the guy, if it turns out he did dispute it OR try to dispute it, report him as a scammer.

 

What is the reason paypal is holding the money for. It should give a reason, currently ive been charged back from selling a RS acc and am in the process of trying to get £200 back into my paypal account that the buyer is saying wasnt an authorised transaction. It is coming up on my paypal as "UnauthorisedUnauthorised Claim"

 

I believe PayPal holds money ONLY with the sending party objects it. Talk with the gentleman, find out if he knows of what is going on. Then call PayPal and they will tell you right on the spot what is going on if there is any issues.
