    Indigestion?

So, I'm 16 and almost everyday now I get Indigestion.
My Mom keeps telling me I shouldn't be getting this at my age, however it always creeps up on me.
I often stay round my Girlfriends house, and none of her family suffer from it, ever, therefore they don't have any tablets for it there. I often forget to take mine and am suffering with it all night.

Some people told me it's because I eat too much junk food, however for about 2 weeks I used a Balanced Diet website as a food plan and stuck to that, yet I still got it, just as frequent.
It seems to occur more at night than in the day.

    What causes Indigestion?
    How do you treat yours?
    How do you prevent it?

I'd like some actual human input, other than crappy Wiki Answers!

    Indigestion?

It's not just a diet that causes indigestion, as a nurse we get lots of patients coming in with the same sensation yet they're healthier then an ox, no junk food, no grease, no excess amounts of fat.

Indigestion has no relevance with your age, there are multiple causes that can develop indigestion; Obesity, GORD, stomach cancer, ulcers, hernia's, medication, you could have a h-pylori infection, sleep deprivation, etc. There is a list of causes indigestion can be proved by.

The only thing i can suggest to you is start drinking milk, heavily. If the problem consists within a week i would go to a doctor so he can put you on a nitrate.

    Indigestion?

I went back and reread your first post and missed the "i almost get it daily".

If you're getting it daily i would highly recommend going to the doctor to get checked for a H Pylori infection. It's extremely common in children and young adults. I would not wait either, if not treated hpi can develop into ulcers and you'll be miserable.

    Indigestion?

I take Prilosec otc everyday for over a year. Only thing that has helped my heartburn. H-pylori everyone is talking about I think is a bacteria that is quite common but only effects certain people. Pretty sure it is treatable so if you go to the doctor he will be able to tell
