    Thoughts on dubstep?

most of what I used to know about dubstep was that it was a lot of obnoxious wobbles and that all the songs sound basically the same.
But then snatchmasta introduced me to this

I enjoy some dubstep with some singing in it too, i find songs with no lyrics at all can be quiet repetetive.

dubstep is garbage imo. people just getting into it all of the sudden are just trendy its been around for years and is JUST now getting really popular. (i smell sheep)

then again, im not a fan of electronic dance type music and its variants.

not a fan of actress although i have similar taste to snatch.

have you listened to burial-untrue yet? its probably the best dubstep release of all time, im sure snatch would agree on this or at least put it in his top 3. In fact most of burials releases are very very good. Kindred - his new EP - is amazing also i would recommend it.

EDIT: just listened to that actress tune. Yep, you will definitely like burial.

It varies. I prefer listening to progressive house or electro step. Much like the tracks Porter Robinson produces. I've been to a lot of shows and I can assure you, Dubstep gets the people going.

    Thoughts on dubstep?

Dubstep, or "Dub" is not only a genre in itself, but it's slowly being incorporated into many other genres. I like to watch the gradual popularity gain of a new genre. It's a thumbs up from me.

Yeah I remember one of you guys posting stuff by burial and a fewf other artists in that vein. Diversity and originality is what I look for in music and those are things I can hear in artists like that

I'm really not a fan of dubstep, it's very easy just to make into an earsplitting mess.

why cant we still have a discussion?

To anyone who likes dubstep. You should all get Skreams self titled album as it is probably one of the first if not the first full dubstep album release on a label.

    Thoughts on dubstep?

I sometimes enjoy dubstep but generally I'm not a huge fan. I'm not a fan of the dubstep that's really repetitive.
