Java Error Message, Please help...

Hey guys,

I think I seem to have a problem with my java registry. Whenever i try to log into Runescape by clicking "Play Now" on their home page I get an error message that states "Error - click for details." This has been doing this for quite some time now. I can still play on the downloadable game client but that isn't the point. I'd actually like to be able to play the combat beta, and to my knowledge there is no known way to play without java installed.

Sorry, as I have no idea what any of this means.

I have tried nearly everything to fix this issue! I have re-installed, uninstalled, downgraded, and updated several times to no avail.
I'm about 2 months into this ordeal and after searching threads for about two days of computer time I'm about to give up.

The closest i have gotten to fixing this issue is what someone told me about registry errors.... however i downloaded a program called perfect optimizer and it ended up wanting me to pay 49 dollars to do said request.

Please guys help me out. I am completely lost with this issue. I have other pc's in my house that work just fine with this, however my one good asus laptop can't even load Minecraft because of the java issue.
