Vouch Count Required

I'm suggesting that if you're going to advertise vouch count, you should have actual proof you have that many vouches.

Seems simple enough & logical. Shouldn't take anybody too long to compile all of their old vouches.

 

Dont really think a topic is needed seeing as it is implied already that you cant fake a number of vouches seeing as that is agaisnt the rules?

 

A lot of people estimate how many vouches they have, so yes, it's needed.

that's why i say "i do know what you mean" all i wanted to say was that i've encountered it.

 

support, i normally just wait until i hit a mark above 25, then above 50, then above 100 and just did 50+, i know some people like big time gold sellers prob have a hard time keeping track, but for the smaller users, i don't see why they couldn't count theirs.

personally seen someone claiming 20+ vouches but only had 3 on his vouch page.

 

The only problem I see with this is it will definitely inconvenience the market giants that have vouches spread across half a dozen or more threads.

 

So you're saying you either get a correct vouch count or don't use vouch count in thread title at all? I support that. My question though, a logistical one, is who is going to be fact checking these?

 

I definitely have lots and lots of threads with lots of vouches.

Some of those threads are locked so the vouches won't even link / quote anymore I don't think .. hmm.

 

I was under the assumption this was already a rule, otherwise I put so much effort keeping track of mine to be a waste...

What I do every time I update my vouch thread is end by making a post in my thread indicating where the last update on each of my threads was.

This way next time I want to update my vouch thread I know exactly where to pick up. It is easy to keep track of vouch count if you are organized.

But as mentioned by the others would be quite difficult for the large gold sellers in the market to keep track of all there vouches but the problem is people vouch on sale threads when they should be vouching in the sellers vouch thread and vice versa its there for a reason and keeps count of posts in it automatically. at the end of the day It should be upto the people trading to confirm if that person has that said amount of vouches a quick skim through there vouch page should be enough..

This suggestion isn't logical.

So you're basically telling me that those who over 500+ vouches must count and change the amount of vouches they have to specifically show others how much they really have. Uhm, it's pretty much a waste of time.

 

Some people have vouches in locked threads though, which they cannot feasibly go back and quote without bothering a moderator about. Also, just because a person doesn't have all of their vouches compiled into one thread, doesn't mean they don't have the amount they are claiming.

Not necessarily. If managed correctly, vouches aren't difficult to keep track of. The issues is, not everyone takes the time to manage them correctly. I personally ONLY allow my vouches to be on my vouch thread, which makes it easier for me to track them. Some users, however, run multiple businesses (RSGP buying, RSGP selling, Gift card buying/selling, etc) - and they prefer the vouches to be on the particular thread that the transaction was for. Cases like this make it extremely difficult for users to keep track of the exact number of vouches that they've accumulated, although, they can get a rough idea which is what some (if not many) users list when they put their vouch count in titles. Although not exact, in most cases, the numbers are close enough to the exact amount that it's not really an issue.

 

I think you should atleast go back to compile your active thread then give a rough estimate.

 

problem is i have done alot of business but i always forget people to vouch.

Also some persons ive dealt with reguarly for almost a year...

So i dont use the vouch count in my threads i just supply a link to vouches and if people post then great if not, no sweat.

I really should hazzle people into updating them lol

 

Support, I've people having a signature with 30+ vouches with no actual proof way too many times. It needs to end.
