Casio G-Shock DW5600E-1V Classic Digital Watch

I just ordered this watch on Amazon for $40.00 USD with super free shipping which will be shipped around 30th of july to August 2nd. This will be my very first g-shock watch, and it has everything that I need for a watch.

I just want to know how long the battery life is for this watch? It uses a CR2016 lithium battery which is estimated to last to about 2 years. Some watch holders say that they have had this watch for over 10+ years without having to change the battery?

I am also planning to rig this watch to use negative colors so it would turn out to look similar to this below. Check the second image.

I used to own a casio G-shock, and if I recall correctly, the battery did last almost 3 years. It wasn't exactly the same watch though.

I've since switched to analog watches too, they look better.:p

Edit: I guess it'll probably last longer using negative colours.

I've owned multiple watches including g-shocks in the past and battery life never really was a problem for me. Only one or two ran out during my lifetime.

But wouldn't it be different if the colors were inverted? I mean, that looks like a serious power hoarder.

Really? It looks like it'll take more power to invert it, making it more black :p
