What do you like about where you live?

American middle class suburbia tends suck once you live in it long enough, so naturally something I'd like to do once I get out of here is travel.
Being a part of the culturally diverse community that is Sythe, I thought I'd see if any of you guys are interested in sharing pictures of what makes the place where you live special, be it the beaches, the mountains, the forests, the sunsets, the city, but preferably pictures you've taken yourself.
I know there are people here from all around the world, and I'm especially keen on visiting Europe some day. But there are a lot of beautiful places here in the States, I just don't happen to live in one, so if any Amricans here have some pics of memorable places they've visited in the U.S., I hope you won't mind sharing them :noworry:

I should add, people are just as important as the places

 

What makes New Zealand special for me is that I'm stuck here. It is generally a nice place but don't read too much into our clean green image, it's not entirely true.

 

Australia, QLD, Gold Coast.


Thats a bad beach tbh... There are a lot better but thats where I live.

The main thing I like about my city is that around my area everybody knows everybody. You end up having thousands of friends which is quite awesome.

 

I live in Washington. There's always cold rain and hipsters. But I love it and have met the most amazing people I know.

 

The only thing that makes it special is that it once was a fur trading post for natives. Oh and I think that near here is the only bridge that connects the prairies to Ontario and eastward by road without going through the border.

 

The sheep and the rain? That's all I can think of that would make this place special

 

Beer; diversity and quality.

 

That beach is gorgeous, the water is nice and blue. It also looks really clean and there's very little people. :O Looks like a cool place to hang out in the summer.

The sydney harbour bridge was made in the steel works about 4 miles from my house!

Also, the first ever train ticket station is about 5 minutes walk from my house......

Other than those wank claim to fames I live in a complete shit hole.

Edit: And I mean literelly the first even train ticket office/station.
Look up the stockton and darlignton railway. First ever baby yeah

 

I live about 20 minutes away from the first ever Kmart?

I live in sunnyvale, california. Its special cause the weather is always nice, the crime rate is extremely low, and I live right next to a ton of convenient stores; target, safeway, walgreens, petco, etc

 

I'm pretty close to a lot of family members I guess.

 

I live in St. Louis.

So I guess the arch, and beer (Anheuser Busch)

I hate the weather here though.

 

I live about 10-20 minutes away from you. LOL

The city I live in is a high maintenance area where there are always cops everywhere. These cops are jackasses, waiting to give you a speeding ticket downhill on a overpass. And, this City is filled with all Vietnamese and flipinos only.

 

I also live on Sunshine Coast QLD, Australia (about 3 hours north of Gold Coast). I recently moved to Brisbane city where I work and enjoy the city life, plenty of entertainment and culture.

On weekends I can take a short drive back to my family's house near the beach (about 3kms from Noosa beach). I don't think it can get much better, I love where I live

 

What makes Ireland good is that i live in an area with a close community. Everybody knows everyone and the people are nice. And those girls! DAYUM!

 

Umm, there's nothing super special about where I live, but there's a strong music and arts culture, as well as good barbecue!
