Yes, it would. You're considered a 'douche' if you do. Different people have different views on this and whether if it's a positive or a negative thing. I, personally, don't like guys who do that so don't. Just be visibly muscular. Just talk to people, at least try to. Build friendships and this way, you'll have someone who likes to go to the gym as well. When you are in the gym's changing room, you'll have to take off your shirt so your gym-buddy will notice how built you are and might tell others? Idk but just be muscular. If you really want a shirtless picture, what you can do is be near some pool and have someone take a picture of you with your shirt off and upload it on FB. The people on FB will notice and know you quickly this way for having a muscular physic.

Good luck and be patient when you workout, it won't come in month, it'll take time. Also, just working out in general is good. The pros outweigh the cons (if there even exist any).

It may be your personality. Not to be a jerk, but there's probably a good reason for you being lonely. In your condition you must reach out for others, don't expect them to reach out to you at this point.

Yes. Be as friendly as a person as you can and put yourself before others consistently. You need to be interesting though. Try to initiate conversations with people and don't talk about anything too.. weird. Although I've made friends by adding them on Facebook and asking them to bake nachos and send me a picture. Try to take initiative.

    The gym idea is GREAT.

I'm going into my second year of college and only since the beginning of this summer have I been going to the gym. GET motivation to work out and your life will change drastically for the better.

Seriously, if there's one thing I wish I did since High School, it'd be working out.

It's only been a couple days, takes longer than that to build rapport. Get involved in the gym more, be friendly regardless of what's happening at school. Even in school act like a reborn person. I'm 20 and I'm friends with guys in my gym who are around 30-50 years old, nothing wrong with it, friends are friends there is no age limit. Except the under-aged in my case. If you can manage friends of older age, you can easily make friends of a younger age.
You'll slowly adapt to the maturity of older people and bring that new personality that has grown inside of you to school. Be confident in who you are in the gym, outside the gym, in school, pretty much everywhere.
Psychologically proven, girls are attracted to a guy who knows what he wants. And especially confident guys.
I'm not a ladies man, but I've been told by female peers that I have an aura/vibe of confidence which attracts them. This all came to me naturally after spending time and time in the gym

If I can do it, you can do it :)

Yes it would be a bit cocky.
I personally don't care for it, but I know for a fact you'll get very little attention. People would probably just say behind your back "look at this guy, thinks he's top shit and all".
It's actually better to just put normal pictures of yourself with family wearing slim fit shirts. Don't make a photo that has a main point that you wanna show off your build. Kids at young age do it a lot these days and think it's cool and a technique to impress girls, but it's not trust me lol.
What you want, is to just be a regular guy who has a build and enjoys going to the gym for nothing more except as a hobby. Don't attention seek.

Ah, I like the pool idea, and thansk for the support :)
Its probably my personality. I guess you're right, I should try and reach out to people and not expect them to do that.
Seems like a fun idea. Do you think calling my classmates for a movie at a nice place on my birthday or any other occasion help my case?
The gym's also boosting my self esteem. I hope my life changes cuz of gym, like yours did :)
Thank you for the motivation and the moral support :) I see myself working harder in the gym after reading your reply.
After giving it a thought, my idea sounds very cocky :x I'll try my best not to make myself look like a irl attention whore :)
