Good Melee slayer setup?

My stats;

80 Attack
85 Str
75 Def

Have got Rapier.

I'm looking to train defence while training slayer. I will be using a cannon aswell.

At the moment this is what I have

Helm; Working on full slayer helm
Necklace; Glory
Chestplate; Not sure
Legs; Not sure
Shield; Dragon defender
Sword; chaotic Rapier
Boots; Dragon boots

I'm buying about 100m in about 5 days so that should be enough.

 

Bandos for the times when you don't pray, prostelite for the times when you pray.

 

Fury instead of Glory, Bandos Tassy + BCP and warrior and zerker ring.

you might wana buy DFS too so you can switch between it or defender depending on your taskb (so defender for easy ones and DFS if you wana tank more)

 

full bandos tokhaar kal berserker ring bandos top and bottom, steadfast boots fury full slayer helm chatoic rapier or vine whip dragon defender and you should be golden

 

This is all generally good information, though considering you are only buying 100m i wouldnt suggest steadfast boots.. they are 39m more expensive than dboots with meager def bonuses over them and +2 slash stab and crush the exact SAME str bonus as dboots.
tassets and bcp are going to set you back are 27m
fury is 6, the full slayer helm is going to come out to be a little less than 2m.
so that set up is about 35m total, leaving you plenty of cash to easily get extremes and still have some pocket change! Extremes are extremely beneficial and will increase your damage and xp tons more than any gear can, also if you dont have 70 for piety atleast GET IT helps so much, on that same note doing the quests for proselyte armor are definitely worth it proselyte is great cheap armor with the the top and bottom having the best prayer bonus in game. You could easily afford all of this on your 100m budget.
also a great FREE alternative to berserker ring is the tokkul-zo which has the stats of a warriors ring, seers ring, and archers ring combined! The extra accuracy AND defense along with it multi use stats of this ring have made it my favorite (till i get around to imbuing my zerker) it also has a +10% damage to tzhaar creatures when its charged which will help greatly getting that fire cape and or tokhaar kal.

Imo the only task that a DFS should be used for is Skeletal Wyverns, which are a very viable skip task also.
