Fish mask

Does it become a rare eventually? I got it where the price was 2m now it is about 5m. What you think about it?

Yes, they will eventually become a discontinued item after this season.

They've gone up quite a bit since its' release.

Well this is the way its going to go.
As long as they keep rising people are going to see this & try to "hoard" them (i have a friend with 138 mask already).
With less of them actively in the economy the price rises as long as demand and is still there.
Now here is where it's a gray area. There will be people who dump when they get to about 10m. But idk how many people will do this. If enough people do it the price will decrease, and when everyone else who hoarded them see's this, there going to dump, while no one will buy due to the decrease, and price will drop dramatically. The only reasons the current rares are valuable is/are because they are appealing. The disk of return and Easter egg are being sold for like 30m under price @ most major trade worlds. So seeing that the mask looks like shit, the price will eventually stay "shit".

 

I just used a spin, and a fish mask was a possible reward.

 

It will be discontinued, however there's so many in game currently that it wont become the price players think it will be. The only reason why it's going up is because players think it will go up, once it does become discontinued a lot of players/merchers will dump the item causing it to crash and more people will panic sell causing it to crash even more. It's pretty much common sense, but I'm going to make a quick buck off it.

Well my prediction is that it will keep going up but will eventually drop due to the ugliness of it and also the fact that if you think about when the party hat and other valuable rares where around there were not so many people playing so there is not a lot of them but now with the fish mask there will be a lot of them due to the fact that there are more players and they are available for a limited amount of time.

There will also eventually be a big dump of them as hoarders start to not want them anymore and people realize that they will not go up anymore.

it already sells in the ge for 6m which is a 4m increase and it isnt even off the sof yet Im 99% your wrong.

 

Of course that they can go to a high value but we're talking about a long period of time - 1-2 years

 

I think 20m at tops in a year or two.

Firstly they are ugly and not that noticable so there is not going to be a huge demand for them as far as 'fashion' goes.

When santa's, h'weens, phats came out very, very few people had a clue about hoarding and even those who did most likely did not imagine the items would go as high as they have.
With the release of fish masks, every player in Runescape had the same idea. Buy some and they will become rares and be worth a lot. There is going to be a huge supply of these and it's going to take years for demand to build up enough to match this supply before they can start to increase properly.

If you debating to keep or sell them, I would only keep them if you plan on quitting the game. Come online in a few years time and try sell them and make some cash but don't buy them to try and merch.

Yeah but it is hard to get and eventually it gets took out of Squeal of Fortune.. i think it will rise more than 10m..

Hang on hang on, their discontinuing the fish mask from SoF? And jagex said they were NEVER going to create anymore rares in the game after what happened with phats/masks/santas etc...
