What is your most important material possession?

Well ill just start this off, My most important possession that i wear on a daily basis is a wrist band for a friend that passed away about a year ago.
This is most important to me because this kid donated 16 organs to save 16 lives and 16 was also the age he was at the time.

So what to write about:
-item most meaningful to you that you have on you very often
-why its meaningful
-and also just anything that never leaves your side apart from phone and wallet

 

- iPhone

- I always have my iPhone wherever i go, it's the most important material in my life because it serves so many purposes. It is my source of communication, banking, planning and even as a work reference (medicine).

 

I must admit, despite how terribly bad it is to be so reliant on a piece of technology that I would also be lost without my iPhone.

I use it literally every single day, my phone never is off or leaves my side I need it for emails, the internet, to communicate and even for university. I'd say a close second would be my car, I never thought having one was much of a big deal until I passed my test and realized how much of an impact it actually has on ones life and the freedom it affords.

 

My girlfriend bought me some sunglasses that I absolutely love. Every time I leave the house I always have them on me.

 

Sentimental value: I have a stuffed tiger named Hobbes (yes, from Calvin and Hobbes). My dad bought it for me when I was very young, and they don't make it anymore. I still sleep with him whenever I come home on holiday. He's just been a big part of my life, and I plan on never getting rid of him.

I'm not really sure what I'd consider necessary besides that. Most of what I have I could live without. I go to school in NYC, so I only drive when I'm back home.

 

my iPhone. I cant go anywhere without it. I sleep with it besides me. Tbh I dont know what I'd do without my iPhone. If I ever lose it, im committing suicide lol.

The phone is the obvious answer most people will give, seeing as most people today are completely dependent on their phones, myself included.

I would say my Oakleys though. I saved up for so long to buy them about 2 years ago, and I love them. They just are about the greatest product ever made.

As for myself, I don't keep any material possessions with me 24/7.

 

Calm the fuck down. We clearly misread, people make mistakes--get over it. The last bullet wasnt even grammatically correct. Now that you have so kindly pointed this out, it would be my Beats by Dre Pro Headphones. And why are you even posting here when you CLEARLY state that you dont have any material possessions. The OP stated what your most important item is; not whether or not we have a most important possession.

My "Shallow" material possession: I'd have to agree is either is my iPhone or my Laptop since I use them both on an everyday basis. If I had to choose I'd probably keep my laptop and just buy a shitty pre-paid phone (As opposed to keeping my iPhone and buying a shitty africa laptop)

My "Deep" material possession: This one's kind of hard...If you asked me this during a time that I was in love with one of my ex-girlfriends it'd probably have to be one of the gifts they got me for the various holidays/anniversaries we celebrated together. Now that I'm living the single life it'd probably be something that either my mother or grandmother got me. Can't really choose one since different things bring back different memories which I cherish.

 

Yeah. I can definitely relate. I had a sweatshirt and a bracelet one of my exes gave me that I used to wear almost 24/7. It's hard to pick favorites from stuff like that.

You didn't even post anything regarding a material possession when the thread is asking for you to post with yours, so therefore your post would be regarded as more spam than mine. :laugh:

 

I don't always have it with me but I still have a letter from my first ex-girlfriend on my bedside.. the only thing I kept from her. Means the world sometimes to me.

 

Currently I would say a bracelet made by my girlfriend to me.

 

I can't really think of anything that's "important". I do use my computer quite a bit and I need it to write essays and what not, so I guess that's it.

 

a picture of my dog that died, i loved him alot so i have a picture to always remember him. i'll never get rid of it.

If we dont own a single material item then what do we have to dream about? with out the possesion of said item you wont have something to satisfy your thoughts and dreams.
