I dont like anime...

Trying to get back into making stuff after being in a rut of making nothing for about a month.

 

Looks alright, render is over-sharpened and has harsh edges though. Try getting higher quality or larger renders in the future.

 

Its not bad, i'd just say its quite over-sharpened and harsh to look at all around and maybe try to do something with the empty space

 

I did the sharpening, so it wasn't a problem with the render, and I couldn't decide what to do with the empty space tbh.

 

I personally like the way it turned out. For me, the empty space isn't bad at all. But it's a personal thing, since I never liked those sigs completely filled with effects. By the way, I see what you tried to do by applying a bit of a sharpened effect in the render, however, it looks weird in low-resolution monitors. If I was you, I would reduce the sharpening a little bit.

But it's an overall nice sig. I would just reduce the amout of those confetti-ish points, and move some of those light effects on the right side to another place, maybe the bottom-left corner. And the colors you used there are really nice.

 

I really can't find something I like about it.
I don't like the colors, but that's because I highly favor low-contrast and high-exposure colorschemes more than the high-saturation you used in this signature.
It's massively over sharpened, even the background, which should be blurred a bit anyway, looks like it was blurred but then SUPER sharpened to nothing but pixelation.
Your depth is screwed by the crazy sharpening and the fact that all the photoshopped effects exist on the foreground. This means that all I can see is a foreground with a very spread out focal, and a boring background with color tweaking as it's only effect. The planes exist much too far from each other for the depth to be convincing anymore.
As a consequence of bad depth and over sharpening, blending has been compromised. Your effects stick out like a sore thumb, and your focal looks as if it doesn't belong.
This particular effect...

...seems to frame the focal out from the rest of the signature, so you have an awful lot of dead, empty, boring background space. On top of that, you focused most of the effects inside this "frame" you made, making it seem like you entirely neglected the rest of the signature. This is giving it a very strong unfinished feel.
And a few little bits that I found that could be easily corrected: the hand...

...is severely overburned.
The bubble C4D makes it look like there's confetti all over the image-- unattractive to me.
And lastly, the image is cropped very oddly, there's a lot of space above her head, and a lot of space to the left of her. All this space just looks awkward.
I attempted to crop it a bit. Click if you're interested, but you're probably already too annoyed with my dominantly negative feedback to care what I think looks best.

One good thing I can say is there are a lot of elements in this signature that I see you've put a good amount of work into. It's also not even bad, per se, it's just not great.

Keep working, you show good potential!


EDIT: as an afterthought... you shouldn't work with subject matter that you dislike. If you don't like anime, don't use it because I'm sure it affects your results.

 

Fixed up some of the sharpening issues, but left the focal a slight bit over sharpened.



Thank you so much for your indepth critique Mohtasa. I wasn't able to fix much of the problems you pointed out, but it'll help in some of my future works.

 

The left hand side looks much too under developed. Your effects aren't there, there is nothing but some bubble c4ds set to screen. You need something that gives the effect that it could cast shadows and reflect light and such. You need an object that helps with the flow. Usually a C4D render is good for that, but you can use various other things.

My next point is that the background which I am guessing to be a bar contrasts too much with the render. It is much too dark and there isn't anything going on. You have way too much negative space. In a tag you have to balance the positive and negative space as to not create an imbalance in the image.
