What Anti-Virus software do you use?

Hey guys,

So what Anti-Virus software do you guys use?

I use Avast (Free) what is great and has saved me so many times and for Anti-Malware I use MalwareBytes (Free) what works with your Anti-Virus.

If your looking to upgrade your computer and keep it safe I would use these two hands down.

So what do you guys use?

 

NOD32 probably the best one i have ever used. Isn't free, but its worth it.

 

If I had a really good custom PC I would pay for NOD32 or something like that but at the moment I have a 1GB Ram and 150GB Hard Drive laptop so no need for anything top notch. All I do is browse the internet every now and again and watch a few movies and do my online banking.

 

I don't use any Antivirus because they just hog precious computer resources. I uninstalled McAfee free subscription from my new laptop. I don't think anyone needs an anti-virus as long as they're sensible. As long as you don't run random .exe files or grant suspicious sites permission to use java, you'll be fine.

 

You are crazy, I was going on Google and I typed the URL wrong and I went on it and my Avast shot up saying it just blocked a Trojan. Get yourself some Anti-Virus man, if you are dealing with online banking its better safe than sorry.

 

Thrilla probably has a piece of shit PC that can't run with an AV.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials.

 

Kaspersky is my favorite by far. Ive been using it for about 4 years.

 

Never like kaspersky to be honest. I found their run-time protection to be lacking when I used to run daily tests.

I'm a big Sunbelt Vipre fan, I really like their software.

For Free, you cant go wrong with AVG... Still one of the best protection wise.

 

I use Viprescue for big jobs, and Microsoft Security Essentials for the everyday antivirus because I cbf paying for one. It works well, gets the job done. I also use Malwarebytes.

 

Free antivirus should be MSEC - Microsoft Security Essentials

Paid antivirus - I use ESET Nod32 5 switched from Symantec Endpoint 12 Business Edition.

 

I have only the best, Kaspersky.

 

a chinese anti virus software, is like AVG+Kaspersky+Norton+CCleaner+"the solution to all kind of mess you'll get on the internet" + "bunch of other shit you'll need" + "restoring system settings"

Is so awesome that I can download viruses and see what they do and then just remove them easily later. And the surprising thing is even free, god I love asian softwares.

 

I thought you was better than this..

I personally like Malwarebytes. I first heard about it when I got my first keylogger... I ran a full scan and removed some unwanted files and have had no trouble since. IMO it has to be one of the best.

 

I use norton anti-virus, very good imo.

 

Its best to run Malwarebytes with another Anti-Virus software as it runs side by side with one.

 

I am using DrWeb for my personal needs, its free, but need to change the free key every 1,5 month.
For corporate needs Symantec endpoint security, no keys, simple update, best performance.
