    Gaming Pc Build

Looking to build a gaming pc, nothing to extreme just for games like L4D and day z, general computer use and hopefully something that will last at least 2 years.

Completed it a few days ago so here's some pics, will post bench marks shortly.

I see the MOBO you picked is a H77 chipset, but you have a 3570k cpu.
The H77 chipset does not support overclocking, so buying a K series cpu is a waste. If you do plan on overclocking the cpu, get a Z77 chipset motherboard. They are the ones that support overclocking.

The motherboard that Marc` posted isn't bad, but I would go with this motherboard-

I am using it right now in my build, and it works great.

Honestly either board is great, just make sure you get a Z77 board!

Looks like a good enough board, the other 2 are just about the same, and for 40 dollars less if you are looking to save money.
Unless you are trying to keep is asus. Either way, it is a good build.

Found a gigabyte mobo for $20 less with a 1 year extended warranty for free, used a gigabyte for my last build and didn't have any problems with it, was easy to install/setup.

Do you know the difference between ddr3 1600 and 1333? I have 12gb of ripjjaws ddr3 1333 from a previous build which would save me $50 on the ram and I'd upgrade the gpu to a hd 7850.

You will hardly tell the difference between the two, just go with what you have and get the better gpu.

Nice! Let me know how you like the 7850. I am looking for a gpu in the next 2 weeks or so, and am completely undecided lol.

    No, it will work.
Triple channel will work on double channel. All double channel is is the manufacturer guarantees all 3 sticks are the same.

then I got some misleading info on gamespot. Already ordered the 8gb of ram, status says packaging on the site so I'll just get it. My last build had some unknown problems towards the end of it's "life" , could have been the ram so i'll just spare the extra $50 to be safe.

Saw pictures of your build, it looked like there wasn't many wires all over the place which was a problem with my last build (I'm not using a modular psu) any tips or guides you used to keep your wires tighty so to say.

Its not as tidy as you think:p lol, but just zip tie the cords you don't use together and push them out of your way. I didn't use a modular either, I just pushed them all down to the bottom of my case, now, when I get my GPU its going to be a little harder lol, because thats pretty much were all my cords are hiding.
