Making money on Ebay?

Hey, so i've heard from a few people that making money on ebay isn't too difficult. Thinking about it I'd have no clue where to start if I were to enter the ebay money making scene. So, does anyone have experience/understanding of how people make money off it?

What i would do is go to yard sales or flea markets and pick stuff up cheap to sell

My boss does it. LOL thats how he makes money. He makes more money on ebay than he does in his business

 

This is what I would do

 

Go to something like DHgate and buy a lot of cheap Chinese merchandise in bulk and resell it. That is how a lot of people do it.

Or you could go to thrift stores.

 

Dont get alot of cheap chinese bullcrap thats a great way to get alot of shitty feedback and you dont even know if your product is going to work when you ship it out. learn a market of goods you know something about and start from there. buy low sell high. dont sell products you dont know anything about or your going to screw yourself over.

 

My father's friend makes a living off eBay, he sits on his sofa watching them rubbish product channels, things like "PriceDrop TV" and waits until he sees something that he thinks he can resell on eBay for more, buys in bulk and resells them online, watches, necklaces, gadgets and so on.

Maybe you could give it a go?

 

With eBay/payment/shipping fees it's pretty much impossible i've heard to resell bought eBay items.

 

Agree with this. I mean I heard about making a margin from google products to E-bay but you're being taxed 20% and fees so really it's too difficult to make a decent amount of money. Buying and re-selling is definitely a profitable idea if you know what you're doing, especially in terms of vintage and collectables.

 

I've been doing 'this' for a while. But instead I buy from eBay/China Whilesalers and have been reselling them IRL. Mainly "Awesome Gadgets" though pretty much anything can be requested.

 

Go to the manafactuers not 3rd party sellers get the item cheaper and sell the price that the shops do

 

If you sell at the same price as the shops, everybody will simply go there.

 

Being the cheapest doesn't mean you get more sales...I would much rather spend a little more to get a good quality service.

Exactly wat I do. I can make about 3oo $ a month. Can't make a living off of it but its hood extra cash.

 

Ebay used to be so beast before all the added fee's and things of that nature. i once made $1200 selling a glass rooster that i bought from saint vinnys for 10 bucks lol.

 

i used to go to yard sales and flea markets and buy games/systems cheap then sell them for profit.The thing that is really annoying about selling on ebay is the shipping. The usps used to let you ship video games under media mail ( i did this for a while) but have somewhat recently stopped, this makes shipping much more costly and really makes selling things more of a hassle, the biggest issue is going to be finding the product you wish to sell, that and making sure you have plenty of boxes.

 

I buy iPhones sometimes around 200$ from friends at school and sell them for 100-150$ more. Pretty simple and easy if you can find iPhone 4's for that price.

 

read up a bit on old antiques and or collectables and go to flea markets, my dad fully supports himself selling on ebay. He frequents alot of estate sales that seems to be where he gets the bulk of his loot, also there is tons of cash in a glass pieces and you can almost always buy it cheap. problem is most of the things that are most profitable take a bit of knowledge on the subject. you would be surprised as to the shit you can sell there.. my dad says "theres an ass for every seat" when talking about ebay XD
