Positive. Your cpu is socket 1155, and you cooler fits socket 1155.
As to how hard it is and what toolsbyou will need, most likely a screw driver, and thats about it. It is extremely easy, it should come with instructions. Badically unplug the old one and plug the new one in.

Make sure you buy more thermal paste as well. If you don't, you'll fry your CPU. Go with Arctic Silver.

As for the screwdriver, nothing special. It'll more than likely be a philips head screwdriver. Make sure you have a long one handy as you may need one with the extra length.

can someone/n4no link a guide on how to do it correctly? the CPU is already installed, i am just ordering this cpu cooler off amazon to attach to it for better cooling. where will i put the thermal paste?

Just plug out your computer and remove the CPU cooler with a screw driver, if your lucky you might be able to use the same power cable from your PSU with your new fan. Building a computer isn't as hard as many people think.

You don't need to remove the motherboard to put a new cpu fan in.

But if you're just wondering, all you have to do is get a phillips head screwdriver and remove the screws around the edges of the board. There should be 6-10 total depending on the board I believe.

You don't have to remove the motherboard from the case to install a CPU cooler on the CPU lol. Arctic is the way to go btw if you want a good one for a good price.

If you have one of those really heavy CPU coolers, which need to be screwed in, you will need to take your motherboard out of your case, as you will need to fit a bracket underneath.

A lot of coolers nowadays come with push pins, which do not require you to take off your motherboard.

If you can spend $80-$100 I'd go with Noctua NH D-14 or Thermaltake Silver Arrow, the best in the $100 bracket for cooling, hands down.

You can find the heatsink on newegg and check the specifications for measurements then simply check on your mobo and see if it'll fit. Regarding thermal paste, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRRWbQUqW1Y
