That blurred out sword you can see is an 'animation' I believe. You can buy new animations for fishing, mining, etc. so Its probably a new sword swinging animation not the actual sword

 

They are truely going over the top now.

Now its truely beginning to feel like they are sucking every penny possible out of RS.

 

Saw this when I logged on this morning. Was extremely pissed when I clicked out of a game to see a blurred screen.

OT, Jagex nukes about half their players. They actually call it 'nuking'.
Now they're insolvent.

Once more, they plan on nuking us again in the near future.

 

You guys look at Runescape from a totally wrong angle. Jagex is a company. It will be run like any other company; maximise profits and milk its consumers (us). Not sure why people are surprised. Runescape isn't the community based game it was in 2004, its a proper fully established organisation.

Note: The Gower brothers sold their ownership and stakes in Jagex/Runescape years ago, there's been an obvious trend since then, in relation to it being deemed a profitable business, where its consumers are secondary.

As for me, I started in classic, quit in 2006. No biggie.

 

I don't mind if it's only cosmetic and doesn't give any advantages.

 

that's a player mod, so basically what he says means nothing, he has no special access to jagex's plans. i highly doubt they are selling weapons for cash, then the game will really go to shit.

This update isn't as bad as the SOF as you are not getting any exp items nor any items worth value aside from cosmetics. I see no problem with this update

You're all registered on a runescape black market, a place where billions of gold gets traded daily, yet you throw a fuss about an update which helps jagex make money, to fund the game you play... if you loved the game for everything it was worth, you wouldn't be registered here, so obviously dodgy dealings don't bother you. I honesty couldn't care less what updates they bring into the game as long as RL profits aren't affected, and I don't see this being one of them.

 

Whatchout,more and more people will try sell his gold for $ now , that will take a hit on the prices,not much,but it will (imo)

 

you guys all bitch about updates, its called keeping up with the world. for example Call of duty sells maps every month thousands of people pay its the same idea. And so what if they want more money, more money means more employer's which could lead to better updates. I have no idea why anyone cares if ur not gonna buy anything then why would it affect you?
