suggestions for photography site?

heres my (kinda) site

i worked on it with my sister but i think the plain-ness of the site actually makes it look weird so i need some suggestions

also what do you think of the icon
its kinda shmer, maybe too simple

It needs better typography for sure. The logo is really squished and doesn't look good and the typewriter (monospaced) font of the menu doesn't go with the sleek, clean look. Should probably add a light grunge/paper texture to the background to give it a more interesting look and work on the fonts.

Don't use a wordpress theme. Wordpress themes are over used imo.

Pretty sweet stuff, but for the typography of the logo, try something more contrasting and minimalistic. I really couldn't describe it, and by no means is this perfect, but this is kinda what I mean.
