In all honesty, pull yourself together and work towards doing it yourself?

Then when you have that much RSGP, you can decide for yourself exactly what to do with it.

 

Barely drops money for the sake of it or because they are quitting etc. all drop parties are purely promotional wether for a gambling clan or to gain YouTube subs.

In a gambling clan, the amount dropped is not comparable to the amount made from new betters.

 

As bizarre as it may seem for you, there are actually people that play this game for what it is, a game, and don't see every item in their bank as potential $$.

 

People who does that kind of things are just trying to get popularity and attention, really.
Personally, though, if I got 200 billion RSGP... I'll definitely sell it for dosh and nice stuff. I mean, I don't even need that much on my account.

I can understand drop parties to a certain extent.. Such as the big dicing clans that say drop 1b a week, which works out say 5% of their profits.

But people who bug abuse and make as you say $170,000 then drop it.. I cannot understand, I'd rather come here and sell to the big sellers for half the price it goes for and have a quick $80k banked.

 

1. RSGP is nowhere near .85 per mil, it's more like .6 these days.

2. That video is obviously a private server or something because the uploader is trying to infect people.

3. A lot of people doing drop parties and giveaways are either trying to gain subscribers or dice clans for more members. It's an investment because as you get more subscribers and members, you earn more money from the youtube partnership and/or members who dice their banks away or buy ranks. No one throws away money, most of the time, it's an investment.

4. Those expensive cars you mentioned are pretty superficial to be honest. An average $15k will work fine for several years and also, virtually all cars depreciate in value over the years. In a way, buying an expensive car like those is pretty much dropping RSGP.

 

I don't know about the other video because it's removed now.

But Citywinds his video is not 200b pure profit, it's 200b in stakes total.
I did hear he was lucky that day and managed to make a good amount that day, not 200b though.
Ofcourse he still made a nice profit enough for plenty of thousands, yes.

He just gives away like 100-200M maybe, not super much ofcourse you make it sound like he's giving away billions?^^ It gets him more subscribers and views, if he uses adsense or partnership later it's easily made back.

Ofcourse Citywinds sells most of his gold and keeps some to stake with, he's a gambler. I do the same thing but I don't stake that big all the time, too much risk considering it's worth $ ofcourse.

I understand you must be frustrated barely making enough to get around from but there are plenty of ways to make money on the internet now a days. And runescape is definitely not the only one.

Also most people doing drop parties just do it to advertise their flowering / dicing friends chat or whatever they might be doing.

 

Not everyone plays Runescape for money. Besides, if he made that much money in a short amount of time, wouldn't he be investigated + taxed by the government.

If massive amounts of gold are sold, it would inflate the market as well, causing the price to decrease.

 

Not really, seeing as he sells everything to probably 1 or maybe 2 gp merchanters. The rest of the market won't even notice it so it won't influence the price unless those 2 gp merchanters are big merchants who start lowering their price maybe.

 

These are the things that go through my head everyday... or the fact that people pay money to buy money in a game when they could bot or lure to achieve the same money in time... Within reason, you could say that an investment for rsgp to buy gear to look like a good lurer but when people buy 100m+ rsgp just to have on their account... It's so bothering to know...

I'll start off by saying that even IF he would make 200b, which wasn't the case, it would be about half of that 170k.

 

Alot of opinions put into this thread, but mine is just, if i had a blue partyhat/christmas cracker on this shit of a game, i would sell it, plain and simple. Pixels are far off from the value of real hard cash.

 

As hard as it is to comprehend sometimes, there actually are decent people out there who are willing to share their wealth with others. Shocking, I know.

But I agree, I would rather have that Supra or a hotel room with a couple hookers and a few ounces of blow.
