    Time for a job change?

So I have been working in what I would call a dead end job for 3 years now.

Im currently a Bricklayers Apprentice and I hate it, I get treated unfairly the work is extremely hard and I am not learning the trade, the only thing stopping me from this in the past was money, but at this point money is not a concern any more and I want a job that I will enjoy.

I am wanting to be a casino dealer, be for you jump in and say this is a stupid idea ect its something I have wanted to do pretty much m hole life. Im good with cards and chips I have the knowledge of pretty much all card games and I think this would be a very enjoyable job.

I just need help, I have been looking into it but can't seem to find the next step.

I know Its a dealing course/collage but I can't seem to find much more then that, every site I check out is for the us I live in Australia.

Is there any one out there that knows anything at all or can some how find a website.

Thanks in advance, also what do you think about the career change?

You've been a bricklayers apprentice for 3 years, so you're nearly done right? You could just hang in there and finish your apprenticeship?

Or if you're super desperate, why not go to your local casino or whatever and inquire about it? remembering you'll be working shocking hours. My Uncle does it, and it's not good if you're a family man. He also got a stress fracture in his wrist from it. but if you love it, go for it.

Didn't you post this thread in Personal Support awhile ago?

I am happy for you though, happy to hear that you've actually found some sort of direction and know what you want to do. If you really think being trained as a Casino card dealer is something you might like, perhaps it would be worth moving to the United States while you go through school?

you should definitely check out some casinos and maybe try to ask some employees card dealers who work there about the job. how they got into the job, what to expect, hours/pay/etc.

and stick to your apprenticeship till you're done, aren't bricklayer apprenticeships only around 3 years anyway?

4 years but Im not learning the trade, the company im with just uses there apprentices as cheap labor then sacks them. And at the end I wont no how to lay bricks so I wont be able to get a job any way... it is kinda of pointless.
