What is the meaning of life?

For me the meaning of my life is to live happily, to follow my heart and to have fun, and go out knowing i've made the most of my time on Earth.

I would also like to spend this time with someone I love, and perhaps bring the gift of life into the world.

 

There is no ultimate meaning to life. It is a personal endeavor that one has to find out for themselves. This is in no way a topic that can be argued, because as I said it is a notion that is relative to each person.

My meaning of life is to just love, learn, and to throw everything I am at life. Just go with the flow.

 

Define Happy ? We are now in a time where being happy is somewhat rare to come by. Poverty,Economy,Death all of the above. Some of our definition of Happy Differs from others, what kind of things make you happy ?

Define Love ? What is your description of Love ?

I believe that we all in somewhat of a way strive for the same things in life. For instance you both said love.

The meaning of life is to reproduce and to survive.

You might have your own meaning of life, which I would portray as a reason to live. I don't believe in religion saying that we're all here for a reason, because we're not.

We're a bag of chemicals with instincts and despite how buried they become underneath modern society, they're still there. We're here to reproduce and to survive and that will be the only reason for us being here.

You can try and tell me that some God put us here for a reason, but you can't back that up with anything but 'faith', and that's not legitimate proof of anything. It's YOUR reason, but that's the extent of it.

 

Well im not exactly religious. I believe in Things i can see/touch God ??? Not up for discussion.

I also believe nothing can come from nothing. Which brings me to the point of our existence. Chemicals hmmm Define ? Buried under modern society. " I love that ".

Support- I do believe were here to reproduce and and to survive, but as we were saying earlier. How does one survive ? What do we need ? How do we adapt to this modern day civilization. Government, Society is it all a bunch of BS. He say she say do this and that.

Question - Also what are some people beliefs on Modern Day Government ?

Life to me is Defined as ?

What one does in his/her life. What a person see's what they go through. The things that are not seen by other's. Only we know what we want and need. How do we get it ? Where do we start ? There are many trials in a persons like. How do we make it over these stepping stones. What are some things that affect our life decisions.

I'll sum it up quickly:

In the heart of my I don't believe there is a meaning of life. Life is just a happy coincidence caused my luck and evolution, and there needn't be a "larger explanation".

Another part of me believes the stuff about the Sumerians and the Annunaki.
To sum it up, The Annunaki created use from Homo Erectus from their DNA for slave labor, so that could be our true meaning.

I highly suggest you watch it, it's amazing!
The only part of the video I noticed that wasn't accurate was the statement that due to the larger orbit of "Planet X" the Annunaki would life much longer lives than is. (In our perspective at least.)
That would only be true if the planet moved at an insanely fast speed, which isn't likely, so that statement is null.
The rest is great stuff though that really opens up your mind!


And in regards to the DMT:
It fucks with your brain (not necessarily in a bad/harmful way), and that's why people describe it like they do.
Same goes for scenarios like near-death-experiences. People claim they see stuff they really didn't because funky stuff is going on in their head, and they know no better way to explain it.

While I admit DMT does sound like a blast and I can't full judge it without trying, I'm fairly certain I'm right. There's no alternative dimension/universe (can't remember what they say; haven't researched it in a few months), it's just how you perceive it.
Seeing as how it's all natural stuff already occurring in our body I definitely want to try it sometime.

Only asking this because the OP says to ask 1-2 questions.

As we currently understand, something coming from nothing is impossible. There has to have been some form of matter or energy to start with; there just has to have been!
Saying the universe came from nothing is quite a drastic statement, and saying that the universe has always been is equally drastic.
So what are your thoughts on this? (Only scientific answers please! Besides, God coming from nothing is even more wild. I've heard some pretty narrow-minded arguments in favor of that and they were pathetic. So please, scientific responses only!)

Everyone's lives are different. Everyone has a different meaning for life. This thread proves it. The meaning of life is not objective.

 

The meaning of life is to mature, mate and keep the circle of life going.

 

This sort of question is to far reaching, it not only differs per person but can change everyday, month, year.. I used to think life was just about having fun and getting 'wasted'. Now I believe it's about preparing for the future - making something out of your life.

The video you supplied had some interesting points but its validity is questionable. Planet X has never been spotted. The argument that they live long because of their planet is obviously made by some conspiracy theorist and if an intelligent life form had the ability to come here and create us then I wouldn't doubt that they live longer lives due to advanced technology. Also this conflicts with evolution ( which remains to be full proof. )

The universe DID come from nothing. Gravity is a constant in space (Vacuum) and the effects of gravity on space result in the production of particles. Lawrence Karuss is the theoretical physicist that developed this quantum theory if you would like to look into it yourself. We still, however, we have not found a finite solution to the question non-life --> life.


My question is,

Once the link between non-life and life is solved, will anyone religious out there change their viewpoint? Having literally our existence explained by testable science experiments would one still remain faithful?

To me the meaning of life is to make babies and raise them up to do the same again pretty much.
After they are 18 or able to live on their own, your job is done.

 

Meaning of life to me is to reproduce and keep the human race going on, although I do feel we should also live ours lives to fullest whilst were here on earth.
