This isn't about Proxies or VPN's, because in the end they are all unneeded.
And they usually slow you down, or they suck or you have to pay for them.

I can switch my ip address between multiple ones at any given time I want, without having multiple ip addresses from my provider or the use of a proxy / VPN.

This guide will be available for free.

Your router needs to support this by having a certain option.
Some routers do, some don't. I'm sure for some people it might be worth looking into if they're buying a new router.

Also alot of basic routers have this, not only the expensive ones.

I think we have very different definitions of soon. I don't know if a couple months is classified as that. Especially if this is so 'easy'.

Yep I know, things came up and I'm using a different network now.

Can't show it with screenshots until I buy a new cisco router for this one.

Just use tor, it's free and it's fast - but you do have to be careful because the 3rd node can see all the info you send over so usernames and passwords aren't safe
Doing things to your router generally only resets your IP by 2 quadrants at most - it's not good for anonymizing your location, it's still directly tied to you as far as your ISP is concerned and it doesn't work for ban evasion - trust me

How long is the process of changing? and are you on the internet right after it's changed and don't need to wait for lets say 1-2mins?

    Looking forward to this.

I'mma spill the beans. You unplug your router from the network, change just one simple part of the MAC address through the configuration options, usually the last number, reconnect it to the network, and reset your modem. BOOM, IP change.

You change it (usually it's called mac clone) and then you reboot modem / router.

I'm interested in this. Although I don't think there is actually a method for changing your IP address that works for everyone. The current method I use is the "Clone MAC" function on my router, however this only changes the last two digits of my IP. Works a treat anyway.

That's enough against ddosing / whatever else you need it for.

    This won't work for me.

I have Roadrunner cable, and I'm pretty sure they have some bullshit where they set up and sell their own routers to you.

I have a router, but what I have to do is clone it so that the ISP thinks my Router is the modem. So I can't change anything with my router, otherwise it won't work.

I have no idea what you're talking about but a router can't function as a modem lol. Although some ISP's have standard modem / router in 1 and you get it from when when you get internet from them.

    That's not what I meant.

I had to clone the identity of the modem(mac address, etc) over to the router, so that it appears there is only a modem.

    it's: Modem -> Router -> Computer
but it looks like: Modem -> Computer
