Edit: This was Frank's recommendation, please put feedback so I know exactly it's what I need before I spend the money!

    Motherboard: MSI*z77a-gd55 (roughly $160)
8-16gb of RAM. Frys always have specials. I would go with some corsair. *16gb RAM is usually under $100*
Cpu: Intel 2600k Sandy Bridge (roughly $300)
Power supply: Antec high current gamer 750w (usually $89-100) You can go with something cheaper if you want but I would stay around 600w at least.
    Cooler: Hyper 212 (roughly $30)
    Case: Haf 922 (roughly $80)
Graphics: xfx 6870 (roughly $170 less after rebate)
Harddrive: If ssd I would choose a 64gb crucial m4 (roughly $90) ---- If you want a lot of harddrive space go with a traditional harddrive 500gb-1tb usually $50-100 (seagate, maxtor, ect are usually decent brands)

Well, I have one thing to say: Don't buy a pre-built (e.g. Alienware, Cyberpower, iBuypower etc.)

You will begin ripping your eyes out if you have to worry about 2GB DDR3 RAM. My computer in 2001 had 2GB RAM. The year is 2012, don't waste your money on a piece of crap computer.

    ^^that guys right..

Why buy a computer with outdated hardware?

I don't even see how they can call it a gaming computer... Is it because it has a dedicated GPU? Either way it's all shit hardware..

You can build your own, modern day average computer for around 400-550.

That being said, it's obvious that you can also make a much more advanced computer for MUCH more than that too.

I don't know if this is allowed, and I don't mean anything badly by it; but it'd be a good idea to find a bundle on NewEgg. They send you everything you need in a bundle. You can then assemble your own computer. :)

Seems like a lot of extra work for something you could just do on your own in an afternoon..

I have NO idea how to assemble an entire computer and n4n0 has done hundreds.

If this is mostly for gaming, get this-
    8 gigs of DDR3 ram
    2500k processor
    z77 chipset motherboard
any 6 gb/s hdd or ssd
    650W psu
    gtx 560
    any case

Can link you to everything on newegg if you like.

It would probably take less time than it would take to drive anywhere.. It's also pretty self explanatory. and hundreds? as in, multiple hundreds? ......

Anyway I'm done with this, it's off topic. Justin's build is good.

That list is okay, but I dislike the 560. I myself have a 560Ti and I regret not buying the 570 or even the 580.

I use the 560 ti, and it's absolutely fine. Just keep your drivers updated and such, for RS it will run it perfectly. I will probably jump to the 600 series in the future though.

That's okay I guess, really good budget wise. Just that in my personal opinion, it's not powerful enough for me, especially considering the newer games coming out in the following years (GTA V).

Anyway, stick with the 560ti. Maybe get an EVGA version of it instead of an MSI.

Honestly depends on what you are looking to spend, and what resolution you will be playing at. The 560ti is a great card for ~220, but what is your budget card wise?
