this^ it really isn't worth playing again I'm gonna be honest with you. the game is really changing for the worse, especially if you're an old school player. :/

 

It personally depends on you, i mean if you like the new system that they're coming up with, you never know!

 

I like the new system that's out and Yes it is worth coming back espacially if you're in it for the gp's because after the nuke prices will sky rocket again.

 

People are mad about the way in which rs is heading. I for one, don't really care, and still enjot it.
It's still worth it. Come back.

People who are saying no are either people who quit a good while ago or dumbasses who are passing PREMATURE judgment on the BETA, its unfinished guys .. they COULD potentially make it alot different than it is.... just because you jump to conclusions doesnt mean you should encourage others too. RS is still fun to me, i may end up quitting if the new RS blows as bad as the beta does currently but like i said its not the finished product and its still not due for a couple months. Just play the game (not the beta for time being) have some fun doing shit the old way while you can maybe have some f2p pking fun and see how you like it when the update comes out. RS is still great for casual gaming if you can leave it at that

 

I would say that it depends if you already have an account that you want or starting from fresh. If you are starting fresh, I would advise that you join a private server instead (Zarpor is good).

 

I find it enjoyable still, people are just negative and simple minded. They don't want change, for better or worse if it's not what they want they wont give it a try.

The game is still fun and there is plenty to do, whether it be pking or pvm, skilling or questing.

Give it a shot before you take other peoples suggestions, otherwise you'll be going into a game with a negative mind not willing to give it a try.

 

Yeah regardless what Jagex does people just poo-poo the ideas. If anything this beta should be for the better of Runescape, albeit a few bad decisions being made along the way.

I'd say check out the beta and if you like how thats looking, start playing runescape again.

 

Its not that we are saying no because we aren't open minded, its because we have played the game for a long period of time, some have played since classic like me and some others. We aren't being grouchy negative people, we are just saying the game isn't what it was when we fell in love with it years ago. They are trying way to hard to be like world of warcraft, and if you havent played WOW that I don't recommend you argue with me about it. Its true. The game is still fun for me to play at times. But these updates aren't doing us any good. Sadly I am quite addicted to all that is Runescape, private servers, forums,etc. But personally, I don't think its a wise choice to play again. You were lucky enough to get out of it. Don't get into it again. It will just dissapoint you in the end, and take you away from actual life. Its a pointless game,that has really no value at all. I mean look at it, spend years and years getting to a maxed account to sell it for what? a couple hundred dollars? it isn't worth it to me. I didnt come here to rant and rave just to express what Runescape is becoming and the mind set of the new players.

I wouldn't even consider it, I've basically quit runescape now and only use it for money making/botting purposes and if I feel in the mood I'll go pking on legacy614(rsps)

Yes; the new combat system + social slayer = boss mode. Hopefully Jagex will turn this into an actual game instead of a daycare for 12 year olds...

 

Personally i love restarting due to the quick level gains/sense of achievement. However haven't looked at the EoC, so not sure if it'll be much fun soon.
