Does or has RS ever had a "hold" on your life

Im curious because.. back in the days of RS nostalgia.. runescape was somewhat gripping.. i used to wake up and runescape was for breakfast.. go sleep at like 4am... dream about runescape then wake back up and play

thinking about it now those were deep and dark days to the point i wouldnt wash for a number of days.. runescape used to be my priority!

Is this the case for anyone now??

tbh id like to make a documentary of a hardcore runescape

i don't think anyone is going to admit to this if they are like that now or more likely in denial of the whole situation. i can say for myself that i've been playing a lot more than i used to but i wouldn't say it's unhealthy.

 

i dont see a problem in admiting this.. ive been there done it but havent bought the t-shirt... either way im not sad and i wouldnt say "haha no lifer" or what ever kids do..

 

when i was in school at clases i used to think alot of runescape because i was bored but it never hold me back from studying or something else

 

well this is another thing my friend..rRunescape has indeed caused me to take days of school to play... it really does get deep

 

Yeah, i stopped no-lifing when i setled to become professional soccer player, though i no-life when im injured, i mean not rs i no-life fifa 12.

 

i used to no life rs i'm not gone lie, i think most of us if not all of us have had a point when they played rs "too much" i'm glad i'm not that way anymore though.

 

Back in like 06-07 before I discovered the wonderful world of botting, my life was eat, sleep, runescape. I was pretty much addicted to runescape, but after I got into high school I didn't have as much time to play it so I quit, but for a while rs had a hold on my life

 

Runescape is fun when you have bots

 

yeah i remember when i discovered botting that was nice, it was easy free money and free woodcutting xp while i watched youtube vids lol

 

In school holidays back when I was 12/13/14 I would sit on the computer for up to 9 hours a day. thats the most I ever played. My day revolved around it. and then I found girls!

 

This used to be me, I was homeschooled when I was in the eighth grade so I would just nolife runescape 15+ hours a day. I didn't even bot because I wanted to play so badly. I would wake up thinking about runescape first thing :fP:

 

back when the game first came out I was quite addicted to it but nowadays I just bot and pk from time to time.

 

Like most players I talk to I go through RS phases..right now I'm in the middle of a big phase so I play a lot more than usual but having a girlfriend has kept me off of it a good bit which is a good thing

 

I use to play runescape a lot throughout the day, I was kinda addicted to it.

Then I grew up and met new people and quit.

 

I used to be addicted when I was younger. Not really addicted, I just had to play a lot to reach my goals. With Jagex's constant updates making the game easier, I wouldn't have had to play as much as I did and I could have half assed a bit. I was never addicted to the point where I wouldn't wash because of the game. That's something a person would probably need to receive help with .

 

I remember back in 06 I would merchant 16+ hours a day and it got to the point where I was uncontrollably saying what I was typing repetitively. My parents must have thought I was losing my mind when I was in my room mumbling “selling dds 50k ea” or “bank sale” all day. Kind of glad the economy has completely changed and I have no desire to figure it out because watching your cash stack growing gets addicting.

 

I can't remember it being similar to your case but I do remember I woke up, powered on the computer and went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. This was to save me time before playing LOL. Anyways, there wasn't really anything else for me to do other than RuneScape so I wouldn't say I was addicted but I can say I was excited to play. I would play about 3 hours only at a time which isn't really much when you get playing. Now, I quit so it doesn't happen anymore. I sleep more and don't get up until I want to.

 

It still does, somewhat, I usually play when I get up, come home from work and before I go to sleep, sometimes when I'm out with friends I even think about hat I'm going to do when I get home.

Combat update will cure me of this though

 

Yes I was addicted to runescape at one time in my life but not anymore , the first thing i would do when i woke up was turn on my computer and play runescape and I wish I could change all that but i know that i can't. I just started to get bored of it and that is one of the main reasons i don't no life it anymore.
