    For fun or for accomplishment?

Just curious as to how you guys have played runescape. Do you play for fun or just try to care about efficiency and accomplishment? Has it changed at all since the first time you started playing?

Personally, I used to play for fun, but nowadays it's all about efficient training and maximizing my gp and xp in whatever time I have to play.

It was really fun at first when I first started and then it was more of the accomplishing which somehow was fun at times. My brothers and I played alongside and really were competitive to who had a better account but now that I quit after it wasn't as fun or competitive, he quit aswell. I quit now though. That was when I use to play.

Pretty much the same as you, i sometimes wish i could go back to being that f2p noob working for full adamant thinking it was the best game ever. exploring. and being like W0w ive never seen this place. now it's staking, training skilling etc. not as much fun imo

Like most games, they begin mainly based around the element of fun, you new, don't know what your doing, and just go with the flow not caring if your doing everything perfect.

Then as you progress your knowledge of the game increases rapidly and things start to turn from fun to efficient, maximum possible money/gold per hour, eliminating unnecessary aspects and boundaries.

I personally think its more exciting and fun when you don't know everything, gives the game an element of mystery and "ill give this a go and see how it turns out, if its good, might do it again" as opposed to "fuck that don't care if its fun, i can go to ... and do the same thing with 3x efficiency and potential"

Example of scenario: training at Castle Wars as opposed to Ape Atom Monkey Guards ;)

Seems like a simple solution. Start a new f2p account, don't give it any gold. Work your ass off for 20k. Have fun.

    Yeah those were the days.

After experiencing having a decent sum of money I don't think anyone could willingly do that haha.

OT: I started for fun, got into a bit of accomplishment but now I just do whatever.

I play primarily for the fun and enjoyment, nonetheless when i'm near a 99 such as Range (as in my pure blog i'm 95) i strive for the accomplishment of getting it to 99.

I suppose i'm half and half, i enjoy the game but i also enjoy the accomplishment of getting and maxing a stat.

Started playing in 05, at first it was for fun with some friends playing competitively with each other, they eventually all quit, but I kept playing and at that point it was for accomplishment, even though I never really accomplished much due to accounts being banned/hacked. Just got sucked back in though so hopefully I can actually achieve something now haha

When I get in a dung mood, I play for fun. Otherwise I try to maximize xp/hr when skilling.

I play for both. At times its not fun other days its a blast. I quit for 3 years and had sold all my accounts. I forgot so much about the game and so much has changed. I find that bots make the game not as fun and you miss out. Yet i find myself missing millions a day to helping others. Even bought 2 people membership so we could explore what we had forgot.
