Can't load the beta or regular rs

Hey guys, for some weird reason when im am on my laptop, i cant play the browser based versions of the game.

Like the beta for example. When i press "Play Beta" it goes to a blackscreen with an error logo at the top that says "Error - Click for Details."

I have found no way around this. I have upgraded my java, i have re-installed my java, i have even downgraded my java. (It woulent even load it with Java 6, it said i HAD to upgrade it before I could play period.)

It also does this when trying to play regular rs aswell. However, it dosen't do this on the client (presumably because this is a java problem and the client dosen't require it.)

When i click "details" this is the error applet i get

I have no idea what any of this means....
Please help guys? I really want to play the Beta... If you guys know the solution to this it would be appriciated!!! Not being able to do the Beta depresses me!

 

i had a similar problem, i re downloaded the old version of java as the new one my comp autoupdated seems buggy, id try that.

 

Like i said, i had the downgraded version, and it REFUSED to load with it.... it said "You either don't have Java downloaded or your version of Java is outdated. Click here to download or upgrade your current version of Java."

 

Damn , im not sure what else to suggest :\ maybe restarting your modem or something would help? got me pretty stumped . BTW is your sig/name a generation kill reference ?

 

I had the same problem when I tried to play a game on funorb, regardless of me updating java twice it would not run. I am able to rs on swiftkit/simba though if that helps you. I would also like to know when this situation will be rectified though, will check back later.

 

see i dont want to use swiftkit... I CAN play RS through the client... but i want to play the beta... which to my knowledge can only be played browser based....

Any other suggestions guys?

 

well seeing as you dont want to use swift kit you may not be too keen on the idea of using quantum kit, its in the verified programs here and i love it .. i just checked and for some reason i cant play the beta from browser either but i can play the beta from quantum kit. Just a suggestion

 

i tried to download it but it wasen't available. can you link me to a quntum kit download?
