I hate people that run away its such a waste of time. You generally have to follow pking practices and spec when low HP etc, you can always ice barrage if they're running away.

 

Yeah, I suggest bringing Mage and Melee when you play. Right when you get in the arena, check first whether you are hunter or hunted.

If you are hunter, check where you are in the arena(such as North, South, North East, etc.). When the counter hits 0 when you are hunting, I teleport to the center with the orb. Sit in the center, under piles of people, so your opponent has difficulty seeing what you will attack with. You can either start with a spec weapon and hope they do not protect Melee to begin, or freeze and when they put on protect from Mage, pull out your spec weapon. Staff of Light is suggested, because if you are right next to them after you have specced, it still has good Melee stats, so you can Melee them for 300+ as well as cast them with Mage, so just do what they don't pray against.

If you are hunted, grab the stone and equip it along with your Mage gear, and protect Melee. This will protect you the best from both mage(from your Mage gear) and Melee with your prayer. Run into the middle(but just outside the massive piles of people for courtesy...), and identify what type of attacks your enemy is using. If they are maging, you can switch to protect Mage if you think they are going to keep maging, but I recommend protect Melee still, as a claw special you aren't ready for will wipe you out far faster than 200's from ice barrage! Just be ready to throw on Melee tank gear when they go for the spec! On a side note, you can bring hides too, of you really want to protect from magic, but I see it un-neccesary personally.

Using this method, I can usually beat level 130+, even with titans, on my zerker. It's all about the method, not the level! and remember, DON'T CAMP UNDER PEOPLE IN THE CENTER! have fun, and feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.

 

go to f2p fog world, no im serious. basically fog is a free mage xp so every f2p's who wants to train mage goes there, 90% of them dont run coz they just want the xp and they dont wana waste time. BUT you'll still get paired sometimes with mains who wants to win at all cost...

you still get the same tokens as you do in p2p

 

use barrage and dragon claws. Dragon claws are a must to win imo

 

Absolutely NOT true, you cant claw someone if they run and or barrage your ass, Nice try though.. just saying use one of the best spec weapons and high level spells isnt going to help him as its not a means to win just wep/spell suggestions, your posts are borderline spam.

^^^ This on the otherhand is the way to go, people got alot of free games on me back in f2p because i was only in it for the mage xp and never ran, this is really and truly the best method out there unless you seriously just want chase people around all day and get slower points.

Bring runes to bind them? I''m not sure I never really play FOG, but I usually run around the edge or the map, not all the way to the edge but close enough to see the furthest part of the wall.

 

bring storm of arma and then entangle or use ice barrage, what i do is bring ahrims with arcane and staff of light, then i switch to bandos neit helm and claws for the spec, if you can switch well enough ice barrage them a couple times from far away, then ice blitz then once, then quickly switch to bandos and claws and spec them, after that just mage them i usually end up winning

 

wall hug around those 4 building's around the middle, leaving your hunter suck 80% of the time

 

General strategy people use in FoG are these ones to accumalate points in F2P are these. These can be used in variations

1. Stay at the edge and run around in a circle.
2. Stay at the edge and wait til the hunter finds you, the port to the centre.
3. Port to the centre and stand in crowd. (NOTE: DD doesn't work in FoG anymore, but it's still annoying)
4. House hug and hide

Generally, any form of running in F2P will result in very little amount of points. If they run and hide just stay around the centre and run in a cricle. If they are close to you, the arrow will flash after a while.

I hate runners because of the huge annoyance you have to deal with to hunting them down. However, due to the huge imbalance between matchmaking a lot of lower levels have to resort to this method if they ever want to win.

If your higher CB level, just wait it out, getting less than 5 points at the outer edge versus 25+ in the centre is a huge difference. They can't kill you that fast when it's your turn. Just turn on prayer and equip the right gear. You'll get more points in less than 1/3 of the time they spend running by tanking in the centre. Then when you know you have enough points, turn around and start killing them or hide.
