Runescape thought's.

Well as many of you know there will be a huge update soon and runescape is just changing all the time. What do you think of runescape as of now??? And will it end up dead?

As many of you know theres a Private server out there called 06scape it seems like this pserver will crush runescape its self. it has 208,465 joined members as of now and the game is getting so active the beta is out as of now.

Post what you think about runescape as of now.

 

It won't die for a long, long time. Disappointed players will leave, new ones will join.

The games that die are the ones that do NOT change.

 

Hmm that may be true but only time will tell, seems like there not changing at all there just trying to copy other games out there like World of warcraft.

 

If you have played the beta you would know that it hardly has anything more to do with WoW than it did before, you should really give things a chance before passing judgment like the rest of these clowns. Wow is just a more complex game than rs was/currently is RS getting a little more complexity does not justify the constant comparison to WoW, i think this constant comparison is really unwarranted.. people seem to forget RS was first and WoW took alot of its aspects from the get go.

In b4 half the community bitches and says RS sucks and they are quitting

BTW: rs2006 is pretty much vaporware as far as im concerned, their staff sucks and so does the server atm they really have no real product out yet and have been bsing about it for ages. I LOVE the idea of it dont get me wrong but until they start getting their shit together i dont see it hurting runescape whatsoever, no more than say soulsplit.

 

it's just moving forward with new tech. this is exactly like when rs2 came out everyone either absolutely loved the idea or hated it.the new combat update is the same. I also don't see runescape dying anytime soon.

I don't think the game will die but the stupid updates to come will lead to more little kids coming and older veterans leaving. Just my opinion.

That is true, games have to keep on the same par with their competition.

Maybe, I think not so many old school rs players will leave apart from the people that prefer the monotonous click and wait ages people, this should make PVM and the such more interesting.

 

I Don't know man the server like 06scape seems to be getting huge already 1000+ people on when every the beta is up and you have to pay 2$ plus to play this beta.... just think about when you dont have to pay.

 

Personally I'm not a big fan nowadays, ever since 2007 my general opinion of Runescape has progressively gotten worse, some of the newer updates were good sure, but the bad updates have far outweighed the good ones over the last few years.

But then my whole view of MMORPG's has depleted lately, more of a Xbox 360 gamer now, maybe its for the best.

 

It wont die since new players come along that are happy with the new RS. Personally I am looking forward to the new combat, but indeed it has some ups and downs.

 

Well, I love Free Trade. I hated restrictions and no BH. So I am fine with it. Also, its good that they implemented emails as log-ins. Even though it's annoying as hell, but hopefully no noobs give out their emails. * Face Palm*

 

Well only time will tell IMO most of the older rs player will just start to quit.
