Sythe Mods corresponding RS account names?

This topic is about famous Sythe users/Staff, having their names being used as usernames on RS, whether it be them, or simply randoms/impersonators. This topic is mainly about if those names exist on RS, not who owns them.

The topic is about discussing if you've seen one of these names around.


So I've been staking a fair bit these past few weeks on RS, and noticed a player at w54 duel arena with the account name RsProd Sythe, autotyping his sythe status and hosting that 2x money game.

 

I personally have not seen this nor do I know the answer. I can only suggest you add RsProd on MSN and ask him what his current Runescape name is.

i can guarentee you thats no the real rsprod. rsprod would never do this so the guy hosting is a scammer using a clever attempt to try and lure noobs into having over cash to him

Well how can you determine who is a impersonator or an actual Sythe member if you don't ask.

 

You've have a misunderstanding of the term impersonator, if you're going to support a thread so sensitive to the community (People will start using this as a I got scammed by... type ordeal) you have to support the entire assumption.

As i'm quite sure this did deviate from the original topic, and would be depicted as useless to those clicking this thread. To make a thread depicting Sythe mods and RuneScape accounts without supporting possible ownership, contradictory, I'd say?

As evidence shows your inability to hold a civil conversation without patronizing, i'll leave before you blow up and the thread gets locked.

OT: No, i've never seen any Sythe usernames on RuneScape, but before assuming they're a scammer i would ask.

 

kay, so the name "RsProd" was actually sold here on Sythe a few months ago. The name was familiar to me so I did a quick search and the name was actually sold here: http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1374164

Sorry to have to interject, but I feel the need to clear things up.

Lilly: This thread isn't making the assumption that a Sythe mod is scamming people on RuneScape by earning the trust of RuneScape players by telling them that he is a mod on Sythe. He's simply pointing out that things like this are happening, and since it is, you may have people coming to Sythe claiming that they were scammed by a Sythe mod via that type of username on RS. He's simply pointing out that 'famous', for lack of a better term, Sythe moderators' names are being 'stolen', per say, to use against the RuneScape population.

I know it seems a bit confusing on both ends, but try not to get angry with one another, sort it out via PM if you still have anything to discuss about the content of the thread.

On the other hand, Lee, I don't really see the entire point of this thread. These people are moderators of Sythe, not RuneScape. There's no law against them using those names on RuneScape, and there's no way we can stop them. If somebody is stupid enough to trust someone off of the RS username alone, that's their problem; not ours.

 

I don't really get the OP, its not a good discussion topic. Obviously the names exist on Rs, every name that is 12 characters exists. Personally I would love the name Jack Goff, but I don't have it unfortunately.

 

I highly doubt all the Sythe staff names exist on runescape, or the highly trusted users. The topic is about discussing if you've seen one of these names around.

 

Actually, it's pretty likely that all of them (unless actually taken by the Sythe mod himself) are taken. I know, for one, that "Naggiii" was taken, but that's me. I was surprised when it was taken, because who else uses a name like this?

However, "RSProd" seems like it would be pretty common.

 

i doubt they use the same name cuz there banks are Worth so much they try to stay hidden from people Who hack or try to take their accounts

 

That isn't necessarily true. Just because somebody is a mod on Sythe, doesn't mean they're rich on RS.

 

Definitely not true. I am dirt poor on RS and pretty much always have been (at least compared to most people on this site)

I've also got a very different name on RS, and my business on there is pretty much kept separate from my life on Sythe

 

Every name imaginable with 12 characters or less exists on rs or is up for the taking. You definitely should have clarified what you are saying in the OP.

But im fairly sure most if not all people on here are intelligent enough to keep their sythe names and rs names different, seeing as this is a black market and could potentially get you into a bit of trouble if not banned in rs.

 

This would only get you in trouble if you repeatedly a very blatantly declared your affiliation with the site sythe. They don't patrol looking for blackmarket members and find the corresponding RSN and ban it
