SFA Thread {CLOSED} {What about the Community} What about what we think

Hi, Mod's, Admin's anyone in the upper staff.

First off i would like to say Sythe is coming along good and well. I love the site and ill always use it, but there are some things that need to be brought to light.

About 2-3 Days ago I compiled alot of thought and hard work into something i really loved and thought would be good for the community. "A debating Thread" Im 20 and im in College Pre-Med Biology and Physics. I also take a couple of course in debate. Im not the best but i would love to think i am. I love for people to challenge me and my brains.Which is why i opened this thread here:

    http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?p=11160249#post11160249

As you can see it is well put together and alot of work put into it.

Secondly let me explain why this thread was put into place. I put this thread in the SFA section because as we all know its SYTHE favorite section, and he loves chatting about highly enlightened things. I've also been looking and spending alot of time in the SFA section reading, posting, a little bit of arguing here and there alot of different things. This thread was mainly to intensify the section. It was a peaceful place where the sythe community could actually argue and compete in the same section, over a clear and enlightened topic, without having to worry about being spammed or interrupted. "simple a strict debate" something worth waiting on. Reading, writing, studying, viewing sources, surfing the web actually giving something back to the sythe community besides donations. It also gave reason for more people to actually stop by the SFA section if just to read or put a reference for a team or something for a team to look at to help them win there debate i mean there is an unlimited amount of things that the community could do. Not only does it allow us to communicate outside the black market but it bring us closer together it allows us a chance to actually think with each other come to a conclusion with teamwork. No curing use of profanity or spam what could actually go wrong in this thread.

My actual problem that arose. I still do not see why the thread was closed. I would think if something was actually helping the community i mean dont just close it like ok well wth closed/denied whatever. I would have thought it would have been reasonable to actually post on the thread something like "were going to have to move this to a different section" Instead it was just closed in the middle of a debate. No telling how many viewers were looking forward to watching/reading that debate. Its just sad.... For that to happen.
And it was closed very bluntly:

    http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1426271
    http://gyazo.com/a8f07e44a0d9cd276e816f0059fa53da
    http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?p=11161828#post11161828

I think thats quite childish (just ignore the community)

I just dont think whenever the community has something to give feedback on it should just be ignored simple like this:

    http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?p=11160249#post11160249
    http://gyazo.com/a8f07e44a0d9cd276e816f0059fa53da

That shows a lack of interest in what we think. It shows that you basically don't care about anything that interest us. Were not trying to destroy the site were trying to help improve it. Trying to make it worth our time i know i could sit here and debate- Read things 24/7. As some of the community might know me im on here about 17 hours a day just simple reading in the SFA. FireZ all im trying to say is the community really supports this:

    Supports:

    http://gyazo.com/5ce1e9938eea9f68375f83a656a1ad49
    http://gyazo.com/6ed682df4c2a5522d69bce4170e47369
    (OFF-TOPIC-MOD)

    http://gyazo.com/1d86d9ac873e69fdb9ccf7b383e2587e

I just really think Mods-Admins should really re-think this or at-least let it be moved to a different spot or something. This is not just me its the community.

Please don't close this thread. I really would love to know more about this. If there is something i need to switch up about my method of debating in order for this thread to be www.SYTHE.org compatible i will do that. I would really love to see my debating thread in the community again. Im sure the community would also.

    Thank you. TheNinja209

Please Hear us out were begging for this.
    "Basically down on Bedded Knees"

Please if you have any question about the thread or would love to help me change it to being sythe compatible please inbox me ill be on for the next 10 hours or so trying to get this resolved.

SFA Thread {CLOSED} {What about the Community} What about what we think

FireZ reopened the thread... Pretty sure some of it must have gone against the rules of the SFA forum which is why he closed it. He probably closed it because most of the arguments you will begin are already found in several threads and most have thread topics already set for those debates. I do like your idea however and if the discussion topics are not those found in other threads I see the thread being beneficial to the section.

He has since reopened it and PMed you with a list of what is allowed and won't be allowed in the thread.

As for your thread itself, it's a nice idea but there doesn't seem much point when threads already exist for what you've suggested to be debated. I'm not saying it wasn't a good idea though. Look at the PM FireZ sent you and then you will be able to work from there on your thread and see how it pans out, I wish you the best of luck!
