What's your best memory PLAYING Runescape?

Well, I'm sure you've all had good times playing Runescape. I'm talking about real life memories, like what you would do while you played. Feel free to share them here.

Back when I first started, it was my cousin who got me addicted to it. We used to spend the night at my grandparents every weekend, eat fudge pops all night, and pull all-nighters to collect flax and do other money making methods.

This was back like 6 years ago though. He used to have an awesome (at the time) account, had like level 40 in many skills. He sold it to me for 50k, I had to play for countless hours to get the 50k from flax.

 

My best friend sister got the both of us addicted, all three of us are still on the first 2000 memberlist. We would order Pizza-Hut, Veggy stuff crust pizza, and play the entire night we were around 12 at this time).

We would mine and smith all night until we eventually worked our way up to Rune.

Our first Rune weapon was a Rune Mace, haha! We were so excited, we felt do accomplished (this was when Rune maxes were scarce in RSC).

We eventually worked our way up to full rune and went to Greater Demons to train and earn money / bones for prayer. We were a bunch of nerds.

A bit off the subject, the BEST feeling in the world were during snow days and you would wake up for school, your mom or dad would tell you that you don't have school because of the snow and you would run straight to the computer and scape the entire day, that was the best ever.. Smh, growing up sucks.

 

I think it was probably when I first started playing. I would basically just do random things that I thought would help me be better in the game. I remember doing animal magnetism because I thought the "backpack" gave you extra storage space. I also remember buying membership after 2 days of playing because I wanted to wear boots and gauntlets.

 

something similar to both or your experiences, my bestfriends older brother showed us rsc when we were 12 we would hijack my dads comp and set his an my dads both up in same room and eat junkfood and play for hours on end.

 

Oh my god I used to love that feeling of the snow days.

My best friend and I used to play all the time, and were always the same level because we did everything together. I remember I used to be so jealous when he faked sick and stayed home for the day to level up, and I was stuck in school.

 

Bhahaha! me and my friends did the exact same thing, she would pretend sick and when i would get home she would already be on;

Why weren't you at school today?
"Stayed home to play RuneScape"

The next day I would fake sick to catch up!

I moved from New York to Los Angeles, we went from snow days to Hurricane days, even better! Automatic three days off, we would scape alllll day, talk about sleep deprived!

 

Me and a friend used to play all the time and we'd get on at like 9 am or so and he was always on like an hour before and we'd play all day mining pure ess. it liks 108k per 1k ess or something stupid and it took forever but once you hit the 1k mark, you shit bricks. We were all stoked on it. Had to be like 6-7 years ago at least...

 

I just remember all the music I've listened to. I've found a lot of great bands during my time playing Rs.

 

So much to the point I have designated nostalgic moments for the exact thing I would be doing when listening to said songs.

My brother got me on it, and at first I didn't like it, being a young kiddie and all. Soon after watching him play time and time again, I was on my way to try to surpass him. I remember the Gadder Hammer > Granite Maul scams, the "Trimming Armour" scams, the time I lost my Anti-Dragonfire shield and rage quitted for a week, and most of all, getting my friends on it too.

Games are the modern Pyramid Scheme :l

 

Got to dung with zezima for a day.. it was so fun all he did was talk about memories not to mention he was a boss at dung.. other than that I had a trip to bgwd and got every bandos item in 1 kill from ea minion and boss..i have pic of my alog too if anyone's interested

It's for real life memories while playing Runescape.

 

Mine would have to be playing with my grandfather he got me hooked. He give me hee acoount.and I remember doing a barrow run with.him.

 

My uncle played with me. I could never picture my grandfather though. Mine doesn't even know how to use Google.

 

I started playing Runescape when I was in 8th grade, so about 7 or 8 years ago. At first I thought the entire game was as straight-forward as tutorial island, just doing that for an entire game until beating it.

Then I figured out it was anything you wanted to do. I would get up early on weekends or stay up all night playing, trying to get rich in the game. All of my friends played and they were really competitive with it.

I would thrive off of snow days to merchant all day. My first goal being a set of rune, which I was so stoked when I accomplished it. My second accomplishment was full guthix, I had spent the whole day merchanting and my dad yelled at me for playing too much.

He was in for a surprise because my next goal was a green partyhat to go with the guthix. It took me months upon months (hats were around 60-70m which was a ton, dragon chains were the best armor piece in the game and a healthy 23M).

I ended up getting the green and still have it to this day, the same exact one.

Snow days, vacation days, and summer days were glorious times for Runescape.

Man I miss those long summer nights of RS...it just isn't the same anymore.

 

My dad owned a computer company 6 years ago and 1 summer he planned on having a computer camp for anyone wanting to learn a few things and make new friends. Luckily, since my dad owned the store, the camp was free for me and I was there everyday! Anyways, there were about 5 of us and we all became friends in the first hour or so. Everyone knew i was the owners son so they were a little extra respectful towards me haha. After getting taught a lesson on computers, we had a few hours to do whatever we wanted and I remember all of us hitting up the free online gaming website "Miniclips" and playing some Commando game. After playing that for a while, I noticed the eldest person at the camp playing some game killing cows and collecting these white circles and he was doing that over and over again. After talking to him and finding out he was playing Runescape and killing cows for hides to make money, we ALL created our accounts and got to work! Every single one of us was at the cow farm in lumbridge collecting hides. The camp only lasted 2 weeks but it was one of the best times in my life being at the age where all you want to do is play video games

Lol, i still remember my first 10k i made. I was the happiest kid on the street!
I would love to travel back a couple years and re-live those moments
Too bad we all grow up so fast!

 

my favorite memory has to be When i first started playing trying to stay home from school to play my mom Would alWays say no runescape if u stay home as soon as she Went to work first thing i did Was hop on runescape

or staying up extra late and Waiting for my parents to go to bed and sneak on rs hardly ever Worked but id love to go back haha

 

when i was going for 99 mining someone came to me and gave me a dragon pickaxe... that was so random and awesome

 

One time I had a lot of money, then I bought some furniture from it.

 

Well, when i was in 6th grade (so 7 years ago) I use to take my moms laptop at night up to my room and lock the doors. (no i was not watching porn) I was playing runescape! I loved that game so much that id stay up all night just training my account! It was the most fun ive ever had on runescape and just the risk/reward from taking my moms laptop made it all the more fun
