meet Joey Bada$$, 17 year old kid on the come up out of Brooklyn, NY. Joey is making noise as part of the "Progressive Era" hip hop collective. his debut album "1999" has been making waves and featured as the #8 album of the year thus far by complex.com. check some of his shit

highly recommend getting his album, true hip hop... you can't help but draw Big L/Nas comparisons after listening

I like it a lot, especially his beats. Has a very 90's feel to it. I checked out his 1999 album and all his songs are really good. This song is even produced by Lord Finesse, which is just awesome.

I love all shit they sample (you don't hear Steve Miller in Hip Hop too often), a lot of jazz on the mix tape too. I'm very eager to hear more from these guys

Same here. Jazz-Hop is just amazing. I like all his songs so far actually. My favorites are Don't Front and Snakes.

Seriously, who is this guy? He just has one mixtape and yet he has people like Lord Finesse, J Dilla, Statik Skeletah, MF Doom, etc producing his stuff? That's crazy.

doom didn't prod for him, it's just a doom beat. idk about the rest though i just remember someone telling me about that w/ his track world domination.

and yeah that's who you get producing for ya when word gets around that you're going to blow up
