    Abortion

Whether you wan't the child or not, or whether it is still a fetus or not, abortion is killing in my opinion.
    It should be illegal.

Also, for those who say it is easy to judge when you've never been in the position, my older brother was 16 when he got a child.
It was discovered when it was already 26 weeks old, so abortion wasn't a option, they still kept it.

Tl;tr;Abortion is murdering a fetus (which becomes a child)/child, it should be illegal.

So should it then be illegal to kill bacteria? We ultimately all come from bacteria, so we are killing part of us when we kill bacteria, Who knows maybe the bacteria will evolve into another sentient species. We are murdering the bacteria.

Seriously though this is a disgusting joke. A fetus is NOT alive, its a parasite. If its unwanted it will live a shitty life regardless of how many times your roll the dice. You by proxy are torturing him/her by forcing them to live and when they commit suicide anyone who doesn't support abortion should be charged with manslaughter for their role in the torture that this person otherwise wouldn't have had to endure.

A fetus will become a living person, you know that when deciding to abort it, therefore I see it as killing.

Well what you think doesn't hold up in a court of law which decided that a fetus wasn't a living being, just like a robot isn't "alive" while its a bunch of unassembled pieces, but when you assemble them it becomes "alive". Saying that you believe its alive is simply a cop-out for trying to find a legitimate reason to prove that its alive.

Nobody has refuted that the person who born as an unwanted pregnancy would live a good life, because the truth is that most of these people go to orphanages/foster homes and become drug addicts that simply feed on the system. The others have broken family lives that fucks them up just as badly.

I like you're analogy but we know if there is a living thing inside Of a woman's womb when they are pregnant. The argument is really whether or not the fetus is a human yet or not. I think that argument is stupid. We should view a fetus as an unborn child that a woman owns. I believe that a woman should have the option to have an abortion if it is early in the pregnancy.

I still see it as murder, plus it doesn't matter what the child becomes or where it ends up.
If your killing a drug addict, your killing a person, so it's murder.

    Look, for me it's simple;

A fetus will become a living person, therefore I see it as murder, so I think it should be illegal.

But if you know on forehand that the baby will have a disease/handicap and can't live life properly, then it should be OK to abort such a fetus/baby.

This is all I have to say.

I am not religious, but i do believe abortions are wrong. With the amount of people who are unable to have a child in the world in emotional turmoil because of it and some person thinks that since they never used protection then its ok to have an abortion. This happens a lot around where i live as it is a deprived area where people just think sex is fine and dont use precautions.

I do believe that abortions are ok in extreme circumstances, such as where it is of serious risk to the health of the mother, or if the person has been raped before hand. Those are the only two cases where i think abortions should be ok.

With what UiS said about aborting a child with a disease/handicap is fine, i think that is totaly wrong. I have a friend who ive been close to since we were very young kids. His parents were told that his child would be severely disabled if not in a vegetative state when he was born, and that it was best if they abort him... They were extremly religious and refused to have an abortion, and when he was born, all that was wrong with him was a cleft lip. The doctors said he would be near enough brain dead and that was all he had. You can never truly tell how a baby will turn out till they are born.

    I support this.

If you know on forehand that the baby will not live a proper life, and will have to suffer his whole life, why is it bad to abort him/her then?
The baby/person will be ''tortured'' his whole life, so isn't it better to abort it to prevent this?

For you friend, I think the was extremely lucky because most times doctors set a diagnose they are right.

Then by doing that, you are inherently saying there is an innate difference between rape fetuses and consensual sex fetuses. You and I both know that according to biology, such isn't the case.

So, we're now saying we're making a distinction for fetuses from rape and not rape. Now just think about that for a moment. If the fetus isn't from rape, you can't abort it. Why? They're the same thing biologically. Clearly, in your mind, there must be a difference between the two. What is said difference? One is from consensual sex. Therefor, you are innately saying "Fetuses from consensual sex should be punishment for daring to have sex." Whether you realize it or not, this is what your stance says. You are saying that, because the mother dared to have sex willingly, she's not allowed to get an abortion.

What kind of a childhood will this kid have if he's a punishment for his mother?!

    You realize this stance isn't anti-abortion, right? It's pro-punishment-for-having-sex.

Also, what do you hope to gain from making abortion illegal? Making the abortion rate go down? Too bad that doesn't actually happen. Abortion happens at nigh-identical rates in places it's both legal, and illegal. So, your stance is now not only punishment-for-having-sex, it's kill women who dared to have sex via illegal, unsafe, back alley abortions. I hope you're proud of yourself.

I'll say this as simply as possible

IF YOU CANT DEFEND YOUR IDEA WITH LOGIC OR EVIDENCE THEN CLINGING TO IT MAKES YOU LOOK EXTREMELY UNINTELLIGIBLE.

I like how you go complete hypocrite on the whole topic too, you clearly have messed up morals if you think that a handicapped person is fine to "kill" (although its not killing), but its not fine to kill someone who has a significant chance of ending up in prison most of their life.

Nothing you have to say about this topic is relevant anymore.

It should be legal only up until the point at which the heart starts beating in my opinion... after this point it is murder. Irresponsible women that can't keep their knickers on cause the need for this, society as a general disgusts me. Now someone will throw out the rape card, ye 1/1000000000 abortions are because of rape.

A sperm once attached to an egg will become a living person. Every time you masturbate and waste sperm you're ( according to your logic ) MURDERING AN UNBORN BABY.

    Bravo.

I'm not intelligible at all, but I've got my own opinion.

I think it's clear what I've said, that this in my opionion.

Like you say, once it is attached to a egg it will become a living person, if I masturbate and waste sperm it isn't attached to an egg so it will not become a living person therefore it isn't murdering.

Try to keep some sort of substance in your arguments. It's alright to have opinions but if you're going to debate with someone it needs to be backed up by at least something. Otherwise it turns into an impossible bitchfest that leads absolutely no where. That's not what SFA is about.

It will become a living person under certain circumstances; namely, when it is kept within the womb of the mother, is well nourished, doesn't undergo trauma, etc. A sperm will also become a living person under the above circumstances after being attached to an egg.

It could, just as a fertalized egg could become a human. It's all conditional.

Murder is the unlawful killing of an actual--not "potential"--human being.

That is a terrible argument. Youre comparing apples to oranges and trying to compare similarity. At least use an example that is not preposterously wrong.

If it is inside the mother's womb, it should be her decision, it is the parasite inside her.

Yeah its quite clear that your fingers are in your ear and you are shouting lalalalalalalalala as loud as you can. Close minded (most likely religiously influenced) people who think that their opinions are right in the face of all evidence ABOUT SOMETHING THEY NEVER HAVE TO ENDURE are disgusting repulsive people.

I believe that it should be the women's right to choose what to do with her body, I fail to see how the government has a say one way or another, much less another human being. It's not affecting anyone outside the situation, especially not the government. I don't think we should give others or again the government the right to say what I can or can't do with my body.
