Depending on what you mean by 'person' i'm going to go with the answer of:

God

Whether real or a figment of imagination, God is the most powerful being of all.

I am not religious in any way.

 

I'm assuming you're looking for answers within the realm of definitive proof, so I will refrain from any discussions about the Annunaki.

Power is very loosely defined though.
Do you mean a person with power to control/influence the world as we know it? Do you mean a person with immense physical strength? Do you mean a person with immense mental strength?

I would say that I don't know a specific person, but I think the strongest person/people are those with immense mental strength. Those that make the best of things and don't let the troubles of life bring them down.
Those are the people that I feel could go really far if they had 1/2 the chance some of today's "successful people" have had.

 

Not Support - 1st. If you weren't Religious there would be no reason for you to post GOD. 2nd- Is there any proof of this GOD. Besides the Biblical Ages and Bible which were written by man themselves. If you haven't notices men lie. We also tend to write things that aren't true. Like i said in my other post i believe in things seen not often talked about. "If i punched you in your nose you would bleed" damn your really real. {ironic} This God has nothing to do with anything he is just a figure of imagination made up by some lunatic who felt like writing a book.

Biblical View: God didnt come from anywhere. No one can make the creator of all man kinds so they say. "not support" why ? No one can show me sufficient proof of any creation. How can a man come from nothing. Die then come back you have to be kidding me.
To wrap up GOd. You also have to look at it as is something was not here then we wouldnt be here. What was here first i have no clue and im not going to try and support it. If nothing cant produce something then hey that breaks down all my supporting details of nothing can come from nothing cause obviously were here.

If i believe in power my thought would be Vladimir Putin Prime Minister of Russia Not only because its the biggest in the world. Sitting at 17,075,200 km2 (6,591,027 mi2) the Uninted States is 3x smaller than Russia. Also considering Russia would smash the US and other into Pieces if war came upon us. "Piece Treaties" War cant happen just an add on, and also to consider Russia's Economy is worth over 1.4777 Trillion Dollars.
But that for you to decide. Who Powerful

 

That's not necessarily true at all. It can be depending how the person is "mentally strong", but what you said is completely false.
Without mental strength we would fall to pieces.

What I think Amethyst means by "God" is that the idea of God is the most powerful thing to have ever existed. I don't think he actually believes that God is physically powerful, simply that the idea of him is very influential.

 

Yeah I think he is looking at it as a "Population" thing and how people believe in it.

 

This is sad, he thinks that the only thing that is stopping Russia from smashing the US to pieces is Peace Treaties. Have you ever heard of NATO? If you attacked the US you would have 49 armies and half a dozen with nuclear weapons instantly at war with you. Wouldn't that be fun for Russia? No seriously the reason that war isn't as prevalent among 1st world countries is because if a bunch of 1st world countries got into a war the Earth could be utterly destroyed.

I believe that the most powerful person in the world is yourself. It sounds cliche, but is it not the truth? No one has the power to make you do something, or say something. They may have a good reason for you to do it, whether it be money, fear, love, devotion, but that is not real power on their part, it is lack of power on your own part. If I had to pick someone who had the most "power" in the world though, I would pick Sergey Brin and Larry Page, the inventors of Google.

I also like the idea of google inventors although I would go with facebook over google, facebook has much more info on people. I would imagine so any way.

 

a teacher I had once told me that Google has every search you have ever made saved. now that is some serious power, not to mention they could alter every google search so it leads to some sort of idea or issue. that is some real power.

The correct term for this is 'M.A.D' which is Mutual Assured Destruction, which basically states that if two opposing sides go to war and use WMD's, neither will win; instead both sides being completely annihilated.

Although on topic i believe the most power goes out to the social networks, as they have the ability to just sell out your information and potentially use it against you. Google is big but i don't believe it holds the most power.

Governments have no power, they are puppets, and yes it does go beyond the corporations, some people just live in a bubble. All in all, 'people' are insignificant beings. There's is nothing powerful about depending wholly on the world we live in; time, existence. A perfect set of conditions for us to even be here. Yes, we are puny, in fact it's fair to say we are the puniest of all species, however superior we feel we are, we lack the sense that other animals hold; we mindlessly destroy each other, and the world we live in.

I'm not religious either, but I do believe there is more to life than humanity could ever comprehend.

For all the people mindlessly arguing about countries or warring or nuclear bombs, power has nothing to do with who holds the bigger gun. In terms of HUMANITY (merely), power is about controlling the hearts and minds of the masses. It's only upon achieving this, that wars are won. But that's a very naive and simplistic view anyway. No one man holds true power, and he never will. Because he is dependant on the power of each and every person 'beneath him', and the moment he upsets that trust, he's insignificant. It truly is the people that hold the power, in terms of humanity anyway.

 

I half agree with everything you said. I dont agree with your view of governments as puppets, but i do agree on a whole humans are not the most significant thing in the world. I also have to disagree that power is not held by the person with the biggest guns. Maybe not a true form of power, but definately an influential power, created by safety.

An extremely simplistic view. Care to explain? Money is printed bills. How can a man-made bill represent true power? Remember, money is a means to accumulate wealth, not the wealth itself.

I don't believe money has much to do with power, however it would be fair to say with power comes money.

Last time I checked, Bill Gates didn't have an army at his disposal, or a country for that matter. Money is but a medium of exchange for wealth.

If you think presidents have power, then consider this. They are elected, then ousted, once the PEOPLE decide they don't want them in 'control' anymore. How can such a person represent true power?
