    Fun Stuff To Do?

I've been on a break from Runescape for a while, and I feels like this one is going to stick. (Though I did start back up when Rune Sphere(?) came out, and I stuck to that from 70-80 something.)
My friend is paying for my membership out of the kindness of his heart (probably making up for the fact that he stole my pokemanz games (long story, and I hadn't played them in years anyways)), so my account is still a member with points racking up. (Though an IRL friend spent most of mine not to long ago, as he was on a very brief RS period ;p)

Back in the day I used to get bored of Runescape, and nothing sounded even remotely fun. This usually happened over summer, and I was usually back into it within 3-4 months. (Did this on my old account and I took a break with two skills at 98 xD)
It's the same this time, only worse. I haven't had much time at all to play, and I didn't exactly feel like logging in for 30-60 minutes every few days to simply train the same skill(s) over and over.

So is there anything fun that I may have missed/forgotten about that I can do in Runescape? Whether it's a Minigame (or a list of minigames), or something entirely different, I don't care. It would just be nice to still play every once and a while, as when I did play, I enjoyed the hell out of it!
I used to enjoy Castlewars back in the good Runescape days, but I personally feel as if it's ruined. (I used to be AMAZING before it got flooded with ancients. Now it's just frustrating.) I also don't know how to play Barbarian Assault (correct me if any of my names are wrong; it's been a while), and I have no intention of learning.
In case it's of any importance, my UN is W77_Pro, so you may look up my stats.
I could honestly care less if what I did earned me nothing/close to nothing. The only reason I want to play is for enjoyment, and the satisfaction of achieving something like another 99 is not what I'm looking for.

    Also:
I have one IRL friend who still plays (rest play WOW), and he has been wanting me to PK with him.
At first I didn't because I didn't want to leave the Runesphere place, and after that it was a no because I had quit again.
So, if I go pking with him, what's some semi-decent equipment that I could use? (He just plays to have fun and is by no means a "hardcore player", so I don't need anything baws.) I have an approx. 100m bank, but it's all in items. (I sold him all of my GP. I sold it for $1/m and intended to buy more back on Sythe, but I ended up using the money for gas.) With that said, budget is huge, as I can't afford to buy any gold for at least two months. (I'm behind on payments and the paychecks are slow-coming.)

    Thanks guys :)

    -Dave

    By The Way:
(Just saying this as a precaution.)
I have no intention of selling my account or anything on it. I plan on keeping my account forever, not matter how much I begin to despise the game. It doesn't hurt to keep it, as I've spontaneously struck interest in the game before, and I don't want the money that bad.

I plan on pking, but I definitely don't want to risk my bank. (Especially since I bought all of it with IRL money which I now have none of.) I want to keep all of my stuff in the event that I want it down the road. I'm no good at pking and I know I'd lose it all if I risked it.
Anything semi-welfare you suggest for pking?

And I also may buy like 50m when I get the chance (probably like 4 months from now) and just start boxing, but I may not seeing as how I'm not max.
If I do box I will likely play it safe. (500k at first - if I lose, do 1m, if I lose, do 2m, and so on. If I win I'll simply start back at 500k.)

I may also try to find some fun in Fist of Guthix, seeing as how I would like more points for Battle Mage Robes. (I'm 95 mage and I've been wanting to finish it at Rock Lobs.)

    Two questions:
    1) Is stealing creations still any fun? When it first came out I loved it, but it gradually got boring. I'm sure I could find some fun in it if it's still the same.

    2) Is there anything I could do to make Dungeoneering fun? (Don't care if it hurts my exp rates.) It's something I would like to raise but it's my least favorite "skill".

Lots of people will suggest you stake or gamble away your stuff they obviously didnt read it was in items and what not , either way the most fun i have found in runescape was slayer.. i slay all fucking day lol its a greatttt way to train any cbt skills and its fun, even if its not a whole lot getting 1-2m drops makes my day slaying. definitely keeps things interesting for me. I also love playing pest control with a couple friends come through and rock med boat for some noobs to go to random worlds for vet boat if we got a big enough group. GL hope to see you in game

Two great ideas, thanks! I hadn't even considered either of them.

As far as slayer, the previous owner got it pretty damn high. (Nearly 90 I believe - cbf to check.) That could be a good thing to spend some time on for sure.
I can't see myself investing all of my Runescape time on it, but I'll likely spend a day every week or two doing it.

And pest control just sounds flat out fun, as it's been FOREVER since I've done it.
It also spiked the other PC minigame to mind, I've just forgotten the name. (Conquest?). I think I may give that a swing as well. I've earned a set of elite void and a set of normal void on two different accounts, and I didn't want to do it on this one. (Did on my old main but it's perma locked.) Now that I've had a lot of time off of it, it sounds pretty fun again ;p
Plus I've recently gotten into the game of chess itself, so that's a bonus.

Well thats a plus if you like chess then.

Why do you insist on wanting fun stuff to do though? If you think this time quitting Runescape will stick why bother? It's kind of like you're looking for reasons to stay. I'd say cut all ties with Runescape in order to quit more efficiently, sell your accounts or change their passwords to some arbitrary spam.

The only reason I want to stay is because when I am addicted to the game I absolutely love it, and I have a blast. I don't feel as if a piece of me is missing without it; I hardly think about it to be honest. In the past it was always something different/interesting that lured me back into the game (I.E. Stealing Creations and the new RC update.), and I feel if there's something that I may still enjoy I should find it.
I don't plan on devoting my whole life to this game like I used to in years past; I only plan on playing a few hours/week. No games that can be played for very long periods of time bring me as much enjoyment Runescape has, and I'm trying to recreate that joy.
I feel like I may enjoy other MMOs like WOW or Rift even more than RS, but they're not really an option. Between the cost and the fact that I'm on a 1mb DSL connection, they wouldn't work well. Other games like Fallout are honestly way better, but they're only fun for so long.
Other games like Diablo seem interesting, but it's not currently in the budget.

If the case is that when you're online and addicted, you're loving it, then just play at those times.

Don't force yourself upon the game if you don't feel like playing, thats when it becomes a chore not a hobby.

Maybe you could create a new account or set some goals on stats to achieve. If you have goals set you and stick to them, if you enjoy it it should keep maintain Rs as a hobby.
