    yes, if you game alot, a laptop is the worse you could go for, you would be paying alot more for less power. desktop is definately the way to go to play video games.

    Laptop is portable, thats about all you have going for you. Desktop Is much better then a laptop because you can gave larger RAM, Hard drive, Better graphics, and Its easier to fix if anything happens to it.

    not to mention, for the same price you have much more powerful components

    about the "portable" , a desktop is portable aswell :p i bring mine whenever i go to a friend's house :d just gotta be careful

    These are my thoughts, why not just buy a little bit of gold to have fun with, and put most of it away for something else. You never know when you will need money to spend.

    Personally I'd say buy a desktop, although laptops are great, the specs you get for the price aren't even close to compare.
