Oh my goodness, I don't believe it... Even if you did become members it's not like you can just straight use it. In my opinion this is a little out of line, it would MAYBE be okay if you actually won something cool like a godsword, and then this message would pop up. Disappointing.

Jagex is practically begging for membership due to all of the people leaving the game recently. This is just sad haha.

 

No true. jagex has about 199 million accounts on Runescape, over 50 million of them are members thats 7.95 a month or 22.95 per 3 months. he is set for life and not simply trying to get people to join. this game costs his company a couple of million a year compared to the 150+ million he is making per month. dont call him desperate. do the calculations before you say stuff like this.

 

Jagex has 195Million inactive accounts.

I say to observe the obvious before attempting to bash someone. There are 140k players online right now. I'd say 100k of them are members, most of the others are on free member trial. I'd put the amount of accounts that are members at 500k at the most, and that's already overdoing it. 50million is funny though.

Video, did you buy membership to claim that awesome prize? I've noticed this before, but I didn't really actually think about it. It's a lame way of attempting to get new players to pay. New players as in children who just discovered the game.

There are 1.4 million members with at least 1000xp. I doubt that there are 48.6 million spammer/merchant accounts.

Also, don't forget Jagex has roughly 500 employees and needs has many other expenses as well.

They are definitely struggling, and this seems like the beginning of them fizzling out (at least in Runescape).

 

Well to give them some credit, there were 700k active members after bot nuke and the removal of f2p hiscores. It's doubled since then

When noobs get that message, they would probably buy membership to find out that those blue dragon scales are like 20-25k, it's sad.

 

Jagex really needs to think about what they are doing they are really pissing people off.

 

Runescape is coming to an end. Runescape went downhill after 2006-2007.

Runescape still has some enjoyable aspects but this new combat system is going to destroy the game in my opinion.

 

And if they didn't change it, people would bitch about how they don't update it enough.

Completely true. A lot like that one guy on here who keeps complaining that the mods and admin aren't paying as much attention to updating the forums as they should be.
