So, who is actually quitting runescape?

Given the new updates, beta, proposed wilderness changes, crucible and the state of pking, and the amount ive been enjoying the game lately (which is not at all), i have officially quit runescape for the last and final time.

The main reason on my case, is NOT the updates/beta but that i have turned 22 this year and really need to focus on my real life, i have spent many many hours thinking i was enjoying runescape when i suddenly realised that it was no more fun at all, and that i was wasting my precious time on it, Im not saying that its a waste of time for everybody, im not judging.


I also plan to quit sythe, as i find myself checking sythe too often with no particular aim and faffing around aimlessly.

I am curious to know if anybody else plans to quit soon and id appreciate it if you would post with the reason also.

 

It's funny how everyone bitches when Jagex releases an update like this. But if they didn't plan big updates like this, then people would also bitch and complain. They can't please everyone. I, for one, think this update is going to be awesome.

This thread is nothing but a cry for attention. You're not going to quit.

I have already quit rs successfully, it has little to do with the update.

It's not surprising Jagex are bringing out all these mental updates. Hopefully it does some good for the game.

 

I quit 7 years ago. Quit having fun that is. I only "work" on runescape now lol.

Since I came to Sythe around a year and a half ago it seems they have only improved the game.

• Wild back
• Got rid of a lot of bots

Anyone that clicked yes is liar for the most part, if people who intend on quitting spend their time surfing fansites and taking polls on stupid bs like this their life is even more pathetic than the most severe runescape junkie. Seriously how cool does it make you to bitch about a game on a site BASED around the game in question.. you're correct in that you need to focus on real life because you are clearly a hypocritical loser now. Not even trying to hate im just calling it like i see it. Take your RS hating elsewhere this is clearly not the niche for it. (BTW i have no intention of quitting now because I like everyone else have no clue how the updates going to really and truly effect the game as it is only in BETA regardless i still enjoy myself playing when i can... and guess what im 22 as well go to school have a job and social life. your point in entirely moot if you cant have a social life and play a game and take care of business it is YOUR fault not sythes OR runescape)

NOTE: I understand some people use sythe and rs from a business perspective making cash off of rsgp ect ect.. thats alot different and not even in the same realm of the OP's whiny post and my small rant is not and was not directed at them.

 

why cant you just vote no and get on with your life then? you dont have to explain why you play runescape to me, I honestly do not care one way or another, and how is my post whiny?

idk why you would request a ban tbh, but yeah i quit runescape, i'm selling my main and i'm just going to make it work. the game is shit and has been for years in my opinion, the only reason i still played was because i was addicted, until i took the plunge and staked my bank, best decision i've made in years.

 

What this update might do to me is actually make me RETURN to RuneScape.

 

I quit years ago from RuneScape. Dialatic was spot on with what he said. People will complain regardless of it they make these big updates or not. I, personally find the updates cool and believe they will improve the game. I don't think I'll ever come back to playing RuneScape again but I'm here to sell my accounts and other things. I'm still young and have time so why not stay around. I see where you're coming from though.

 

Same for me really. Don't play it for fun, I'm interested to see how this affects NPC battle though, if it's faster I won't complain.

 

I might have tested out the beta is I hadn't sold off my old file. I'm done for life though thank god
