    The true face of China

China has not resorted to imperialism and colonialism, as the old European powers did. China's success was based on hard work and discipline. Relationship to other countries have been affected by trade agreements and dialogue based on mutual respect and equality. China does not try to push their 'model' of other states. China respects other countries to organize their governance in a way that is consistent with the respective country's culture and traditions. Contrast to certain other major powers trying to impose its model of other, as China is of the view that countries must be allowed to choose their own way, and that change must come as a result of internal processes, not as a result of pressure from outside.

Let us mention India, the 'shining democracy' as many Western experts point to as a better alternative to the Communist China. Socialism and communism are taboo in the reactionary circles, so India is for many an attractive model. A little ironic it may be then that the Indian state of Kerala which is ruled by a communist party, the state in India with the least poverty, and at least illiterate. This "democracy" model isn't bright anyway now is it?. Contrast to China over the past thirty years has undergone one of the largest poverty reduction in recent modern times, as India is still a poverty-stricken country with a standard of living on par with the poorest African countries south of Sahara.

You must judge based on results . When Hu Jintao will be summarized so one must look at the results from the last 10 years. has the country become stronger? Yes. Military? Yes. The economy? Yes. Total GDP and per capita? Yes. Do they have inflation under control? Yes. Does the country is still a huge profit? Yes. Built infrastructure and not least, there is focus more on research and education? Yes. If you have continued economic growth, continuous? Yes. How many leaders today can answer "yes" to all these questions? Almost no one, you may be able to count them on one hand out of 193 countries.

Your point being? I don't understand where you are going at?

We are in 2012. Western imperialists are occupying, waging war and mass murder in dozens of countries around the globe, as well as against their own people .. If you were going to account history the last 60 years is the West crimes horrible, but we do not need it.

China does not make any of these parts. they have peace with the rest of the world, they support the development, they build the country for their own people and the world.

The Chinese government has massive support from its people and growing. The West has the exact opposite. Not to mention in the "New Democratic" Eastern Europe.

96% of Chinese are happy with their government.

The real China is continuing progress and improve their living conditions day by day.

Until 2015, it is now invested $ 300 billion in health, it should also be constructed on the 20 000 new hospitals and clinics, it is to be built 3.5 million nursing home places and by the end of the year, 90% of the population will be covered by public health insurance.

Combating poverty in progress with full strength. The party in the south western Guizhou Province has pledged to raise 5 million out of poverty until the end of 2015. In this province are living almost 10% of those who are still poor in the whole China.

Communism is a dream and a theory about a futrue classless society, stateless society and free society. The rest you will have to figure out on your own..

That isn't true. We have freedom of the press. Our government is much less corrupt than China. Fun Fact: The united states is not a dictatorship. We are a democracy. You still own your house in China

China has taxes. We have taxes. That doesn't mean we are chinese.

You didn't respond to my post. You've ignored many of my valid points.

Speaking of mass murder, how many people starved to death under the great leap forward? 40 Million? Don't even play the imperialism card. Also stop using hyperbole. The united states/West is involved in the middle east, but by no means are we "occupying dozens of countries".

How do you have peace? You have loads of internal conflict! Border issues with India. Issues with Taiwan. Need I even mention Tibet? China kidnapped the next dalai llama and replaced him with a figurehead. How can you argue that such behavior is moral?

How do you presume to speak for China? . You can throw empty figures at me, but China still won't be a free country. You guys don't have freedom of the press. I can't really blame you for being brainwashed/misinformed. It is pretty much impossible for 96% of a populace to be happy with their country. That just isn't feasible. Obviously that poll was skewed. The fact that you believe in the validity of such statistics just proves my point that you're brainwashed.

Are the Veto alternatives democratic? Bush won the election with fewer votes than Gore on a national basis, but won on the number of states with a majority of votes. Although more Americans would have Al Gore as president, Bush won (but nevertheless were elected because of Republican conservative judge)Is that democratic? Freedom of speech? A country where people are deprived of jobs to have an opinion that is contrary to the USA's foreign policy. Money runs elections in the US (who is Ron Paul?). The American system is designed so that there are only two parties, Republicans and Democrats. That is certainly not democratic.

    Valid Points? As this one?
Where are you going at? Hurricanes in USA destroy houses too?

Egypt , Libya , Mali , South -Sudan, Iraq, Afghanistan.

Taiwan relected a China friendly president for the second time..
You raped slaves, Iraq, Libya (killed their leader), Pakistan, Vietnam, Iran(installed the Shah and killed their democracy), Afghanistan. How can you argue that such behavior is moral?

Load of crap tbh. What did you do in Waco? What did you do when your people rose up, did you talk them out of it? Or did you bomb them? What about the move movement in Philadelphia did you talk them out of it or did you bomb them? You ignored the UN and went into Iraq and why did you even oppose Gaddafi?

You have refused to even address points on civil rights, you just keep throwing this imperialist non-sense at us. You don't even argue, you just keep restating the same points again and again. Yeah the US has done some stupid/bad stuff, but that doesn't mean that China is any better because they haven't done any 'imperialist things'. You have yet to convince anyone as you have yet to make an actual argument or counter any of our arguments.

You had faulty building codes. The buildings failed to withstand an earthquake. The Chinese Gov't covered the whole thing up. Do you understand the difference between a huge hurricane striking a metropolis and an earthquake destroying buildings that should have been able to resist it?

Bush won the election because of the way that the electoral college works. And yes, that is democratic. Congress can override a veto with a super majority.

Also Ron Paul is inherently a fringe candidate. He won't be elected.

The united states is not heavily involved in sudan (china is though). We don't have troops over there. We aren't militarily involved in Mali. Egypt overthrew Mubarak without our intervention. Afghanistan and Iraq were issues of national security. Libya was a peacekeeping effort. THat isn't "dozens" of countries.

Ron Paul is not a serious candidate. His appeals to a very small demographic. He wants to leave the UN and completely deregulate. I support gay marriage and freedom of choice. I know who he is. I just don't want to vote for him. You may not like the system, but could you explain how it isn't democratic?

And yeah, freedom of speech. You can criticize the country without being arrested.

China has huge economic ties to sudan and vetoes any security council resolution.

In Waco we invaded the compound of a cult leader. When our people rise up (e.g. vietnam war) we listen to them. We don't kill or imprison our own citizens. After the MOVE bombing, the city was taken to court.

    Code:
Mayor W. Wilson Goode soon appointed an investigative commission called the PSIC or MOVE commission. It issued its report on March 6, 1986. The report denounced the actions of the city government, stating that "Dropping a bomb on an occupied row house was unconscionable."[13] No one from the city government was charged criminally.
In a 1996 civil suit in US federal court, a jury ordered the City of Philadelphia to pay $1.5 million to a survivor and relatives of two people killed in the incident. The jury found that the city used excessive force and violated the members' constitutional protection against unreasonable search and seizure.[12] Philadelphia was given the sobriquet "The City that Bombed Itself."[14][15]
On the 25th Anniversary of the 1985 Police bombing, the Philadelphia Inquirer created a detailed multimedia site containing retrospective articles, archived articles, videos, interviews, photos, and a timeline of the events.[16]

Please respond to my post in its entirety. You didn't adress the part about the next dalai lama, or how your statistics are inaccurate. Relying on government supplied statistics is foolish.

I feel the media doesn't portray china quite as good the last few years. China is a very up and coming nation on the verge of economic dominance in world trade. The one thing about china is that there population is too high.

    The true face of China

Every country have their own maniac's that dont deserve to live. And I can show you many video's from webcams from US, Canada, China, Russia with these half-people.
The point of this thread, in my opinion, is what is the true China by itself. And I think the answer is near the thought, that they just want to survive.
The other question is, why western media is so different compare with people that lives in China now. And the answer is simple, in latin - "Cui prodest", meaning "who would benefit from". In order to whole people in China to survive, they all need to work, the US provide them this work and pay for that with credit.
Small number of people knows, that China owns 35% of whole US government credit papers already.

China owns 8% of American debt. They are the largest foreign creditor. They own 26% of all foreignly held debt. I don't know where your figure originates, but it is not factual.

I'm familiar with the link you posted
There is about 5 Billion in total foreign held debt. China holds about 1.15 Billion of that debt (~25%). Our aggregate debt is ~15.8 Billion. China holds ~8% of total American debt.
