    End of the Runescape Economy?

The new combat beta is out, and is this the end of the runescape economy?

In the current Runescape you point, you click, you wait, and eventually the monster dies. Sometimes it takes a long time for the monster to die sometimes it doesn't, depending on skill level. When bossing you have to plan out your gear and inventory very carefully, then STILL get Raped by the boss if you are too low of a level.

In the New Runescape Beta you point, you click, you then select bossmode skills on your action bar that allow you to basically 3-4 ko any boss. You are stunned and excited that you just hit a 2000!!! WHAT THE FUCK!!! WE ARE A BOSS RIGHT NOW!!! End up KOing the boss in 7 hits compared to the 500 hits it takes to kill the boss in the current Runescape.

What I am trying to say is that some items will crash because the new combat system makes it much easier and faster to kill monsters.

I love to kill frost dragons and rack up about 2m p/h, so I decided to kill frost dragons When I logged onto the beta. To my surprise I was able to kill frost dragons in about 4-5 hits dealing a max of well over 2000.

Jagex needs to update the monsters too fit the new combat style or the Runescape economy will suffer greatly.

To Mods on Sythe: Sorry if this should be in market discussion, I was unsure of where to put this.

I believe this would be the appropriate section.

Honestly I plan to see many re-vamps before the full system is released. This IS a beta after all.

If you have problems with the system -> Report it on the forums!
Believe it or not people use those things ((scary right?))

But anyways I honestly feel as if this is going to make some great changes, we just need to tweak it out a little bit. For now I'm selling all my items and keeping my gold until everything settles down. Then we'll be able to see what actually happens.

Can i just say you are a genius and i would of never thought about the econmey crashing. But your 110% right all those rare monster drops like divine, visages, ect will be cheaper... they never sdaid the cb update would make the game eaiser, so why are they making it that easy? And the other thing is probably clue scroll rare items from elites will sink because people can get them faster.

But yeah as they said nothing is cast in stone... it can be changed. I really like how jagex is updating everything (espically because i'm not a pure) It makes it more mordern and more fun hopfully.

We just gotta wait and see... It'll all turn out well, their gonna make the update perfect since it's so big and they know they could lose a ton of customers if they do this wrong. Jagex Knows whta their doing... we hope!

I didn't get the beta invite, so I wouldn't know. And yes, this is going to totally fuck the game's economy over 10 fold.

You kind of have to think of it this way, they made the abilities a bit overpowered now... so they can test where they should actually be at. Then theres the fact that theyre introducing A LOT more boss items into the game which will actually boost the economy until they're readily available. And the last point is that you do have to realize that bosses are going to have alot more hp.

Pretty sure most boss npc monsters health haven't been appropriately buffed yet.

Hes right maybe the monsters health haven't been buffed all the way yet so maybe JaGex is going to even it out more. This is the BETA its not the final product just wait and see what happens, if what you say stays the same... well gf market prices.

This is why it's a beta testing, if you feel monsters are to easy to kill tell jagex.

This is something so obvious that Jagex shouldn't have to be notified.. But I do understand this is just a beta, and things are subject to change.

    This is typical Jagex..

Wow, everyone is freaking out about this beta, again, it's a BETA. It's not the final product.
The majority of the RS community sees this as a preview to the final thing, and not an opportunity to improve the game. I have been in multiple betas, Starcraft, Guild Wars, Diablo, and people in those communities find bugs and problems, and report them. In the RS beta, people mess around, have riots, and complain how the beta is shit.
Jagex has over 2,000 npcs to update, and at this time it has been less than two days since the release. Let's give jagex a chance to improve the beta, instead of complaining.

Certain things will drop and others will go higher... I think the two handed weapons that are good will rise.
