Update on trending items?

Divine (melee-based)? Steadfast? D claws useless? Dual chaotics OP? Nex armor changed?

Somebody update me.

 

right now everyone is basically running around in torva with dual whip/ee or whip and bandos shield...I am pretty sure claws are useless, haven't even seen a pair yet.

In torva with 94 hp my hp is about 9500

Yeah, but a lot of people can't even wield them. Mostly I am seeing whip/ee, but all I am really doing is pking..

 

I haven't made it into the BETA yet, but I read in the Og Blog update the other day that there are supposed to be 'vendors' in Varrock or Lumbridge or somewhere, and just like a RSPS you can basically stock up on any item, weapon, or armour that you want (for the purpose of testing).

Is this true? Or can you only use the types of items that are on your character currently.

Also - is there anybody who has a negative opinion about the BETA yet? I was talking to somebody quite respectable on MSN who said the new combat system is absolute shit. That is the only negative complaint I have seen so far though, everybody seems to be very enthusiastic about the new combat system so far

 

It's true...You can go and get 100 sets of torva/best food/brews/etc....They don't give out furys or anything like that though...at least I haven't seen it...maybe they do and I'm just blind..

 

Did they just not render prayer or something ? because monsters are hitting through my prayer

 

Runescape actually really needs this.

 

Than report it...That is the point of a beta.

 

I understand that..but how am I supposed to know what they do and don't mean to have in there. Like with combat being different maybe prayer isn't as powerful as before. So I didn't know..

 

I agree with him. Maybe they changed prayer to negate damage instead of completely blocking damage because the armor now raises your LP a huge amount.

 

That's an excellent point. It did seem odd though, because an Abyssal Demon took seemingly twice as long for me to kill and took over half of my HP (with prayer and good armor). Could be a bug, could just be how it is. Seems like regardless, this will/would take A LOT of getting used to if it became the new runescape.

 

RIP Pure pking is all I have to say.

 

I tried to do the Fight Pits for funsies in Full Torva/2 Rapiers and it took like 25 seconds to kill a TzKih. Really...? In "old RS" the TzKih had 200 LP.

 

I'm not able to play being in afghanistan. Like Zerker said is this update a step up or a step down? What do you guys think of it? Also are pures really poinless now?

 

How can u judge the update at this point of time? And also

 

Yep this is confirmed.. prayers no longer block but negate

edit: any idea if drops that you get can xfer over to real rs?

 

it's.. well really its a step down for some things and a step up for others.. for example like someone already mentioned an abby demon takes half your hp and takes twice as long.. kc for any gwd boss has taken me about 30 mins.. gwd bosses themselves are uber easy

as for pking im going to try that out now

the action bar is freakin legit because you don't have to waste precious time doing other things during a dm

pures are pointless hands down.. there was a lvl 102 vs a 'main' lvl 102 and the main just crushed it so yeah pretty pointless

 

What's the new max combat level?

And if I have 99 Attack, 99 Strength, 99 Defence, 99 Magic, and 99 Constitution, will I be near maxed level (72 Ranged)?
