Did you Quit Runescape recently? what's your reason?

hey guys, well i quit runescape recently too. my friend and i just got tired of the BS updates and everything that came with them. the game wasn't even about fun anymore, it was about grinding and having more money/stuff/items than other people. to even stand a chance you need arms storm/goliath gloves/max combat bla bla. i was basically max combat kept sum and def, but it still wasn't fun. with this new pking mini game you basically need maxed combat plus titan to survive as well. i ended up just staking my bank and my friend did too. i'm glad i did, all runescape will be for me now is a mean of url cash,nothing more. i'm gonna be playing 2006scape now, gonna be live streaming and making pk videos/videos. sub if you want, don't sub if you don't want to/don't play 2006scape. leave your thought on what the game is becoming if you want to as well.

I quit around 3-4 years ago can't remember for sure, i am back now but i log on like every other day just to play a little or i bot so i can increase the value of my account so when i sell it i can get a little more. Yes this game has turned into a game all about the pixel and irl cash and well that is what really ruined the community and the game.

 

TehInvestor summed it up pretty much, rather than a game played for fun it's turned into a game you need to grind out to enjoy and if you dont there isnt much you can enjoy.

Driven by money pretty much, no money = no fun. Making money = no fun. Games are supposed to be fun.

 

My hope is that pure's don't ever become absolete.

 

pures are going to become obsolete with the combat beta. you need defence to pk at all, because armors raise your hitpoints, no armor equals no hitpoints or you get 1 hit. the game is sad at the moment though, like honestly i cant even compete with anyone unless i have like nex or torva or a divine or goliath gloves or storm of armadyl just overpowered gear that i basically have to grind and no life to get, i'd rather not.. also, i see youtube videos of people training skills and going for max cape, and they're like "yeah really hate this skill its really boring but yeah i'm 92 and i'm going for 99 then next i'm gonna grind out this skill and that skill" it's like why are you doing a skill you don't like... and then doing another one you don't like... for a pixel cape after thousands of hours of no lifing. the game has gone to that, it's really sad. games are supposed to be fun not about grinding to get a pixel item that other people don't have.

 

that's why i chose to just quit and make this just something i do for irl money, nothing more. i've got other games that are actually fun to play, not grindscape.

 

I've pretty much given up on main accounts, pures, etc.

The last thing I'm going to do is obtain a Partyhat, host some dicing and keep doing that until I quit completely (if that ever happens) or want a break.

I've tried to quit but I just can't.. lol

 

i pretty much quit for diablo 3. but now d3 is starting to get boring...

 

my advice to quit is to just take every item that you have, sell literally everything, then stake it all. if you lose, just quit and drop everything you have, fire capes chaotics literally everything and leave a chef hat as your only item. if you win, just sell all of your gp and be done with it. just make sure you know before you do it that you make up your mind to sell the gp if you win and to just quit if you lose. trust me i'm really happy now that i quit, the game is going nowhere.

 

i thought diablo 3 was like a huge game and really good? have you been playing alot or? and i would suggest league of legends it's really fun.

 

Yeah - excactly... I also quit for the final time recently, it's mostly cause I'm sick of BS updates like, Armor update (not needed one bit) Hp update (not needed) and finally Combat update (also not needed) i'm not going to be using some stupid moves to train, I'd rather give up training combat. Maybe skill some but yeah, I ain't training cb again it seems , I can just go to wow

and the above post, yeah so many players that only think about dice, money, and these damn 99 capes..

I see soo many girls and guys (mostly girls) making some stupid rsmv and what do they show off? clothes and their stupid trimmed capes... that's what this is turned into, showing of a item. I don't have a trimmed cape so I'm lame in the minds of others, that's another reason I'm quitting.

and the final reason, they've completely ruined rs with EVERY update since 2009 (except display name update). I just miss old rs :/ sad it willl never return, it's gone forever already.
I don't think I'll play 2006scape, sorry. There are just to many jerks on there (so many trolls and rude people) for what I've seen. That's also one reason I'm quitting, the community.. so many hoes (fake girls in w1 spending money on members just to go on F2P worlds and Edate with stupid high levels that think they are female) and she-males and just rude people calling you "noob" and "loser" and such for no reason.. that has happened so many times I'm insulted for no reason.
