account stolen

Hello the past day or so I had one off my account stolen when I has trying to sell it. I manage to get the hackers ip address and really want this account back. Would it be against the rules to send him a message saying please give me my account back I have your info.... then showing him that I have his address and etc???? I feel like this is wrong but I do want my account back

 

You could show it to him and threaten him with going to the police if you wanted to, there's nothing wrong with that. I don't think there is actually anything you can do with the IP address, you could denial of service attack it, but that is illegal and would also get you a ban here, not to mention it would not get your account back. If he has an account on Sythe and you have proof on him, then file a scammer report against him.

If the account was yours, couldn't you simply recover it back?

 

Try it. Doubt he'd fall for it though...

I change the email registration to his email so i can't recover anymore.

Everyone else thanks I wouldn't have threaten him just showed him I have is info. O well I guess there is nothing I can do.

 

actually you can still recover the account if your the original owner of that account. Just go to the forums and post on one of the account recovery sections saying that your account has been hacked and a J-mod will look into your account and see if your I.P matches from maybe even years ago. If it checks out they will return the account back to you. If your not the original owner... then i'm sorry there is like nothing you can do.
