Staking (Getting ddosed)

So I plan on going staking after 99 defence, and I want to know from any of you stakers, if you get ddosed a lot or not. Have you ever gotten ddosed and fixed it? How did you fix/stop getting ddosed?

It's honestly very hard to get ddosed for the most part. For me, it's once in a blue moon. Just stake normally, and if it decides to come, you can't do too much about it.

 

Stay off of skype, and most non-approved websites (other than this of course ) and you should be fine. Those are the two biggest factors when people are getting your IP to DDoS you. If you prevent people from getting your IP, you'll be fine. LINKS ARE THE DEVIL!

 

I'm a pretty big staker, and I can say I've never been DDoS'ed staking.

If you ever think you are being DDoS'ed, call your ISP, and ask them to change your IP. If they ask why, tell them the truth, that you are being DDoS'ed.

 

like others have said, you should be fine staking. the problem you have to worry about isnt getting ddos'd; its getting scammed/tricked in the staking rules.

 

Don't use skype (availability of IP), a good firewall might help.

 

Don't be on MSN/Skype and click on any links, and then you won't get DDosed!

 

I'm not dumb. I don't go on any links. And I only go on skype with people I know.

 

dont use skype to talk to random people and dont use malicious websites and you should be ok

It's not as easy to be ddosed as people have portrayed it to be.
For the idiots saying stay off skype, skype connects you and the other user to a server. So you will have that SERVER ip and not the USERS ip. Not that simple.

Honestly you have no worries.

 

If you add people from RS to skype, and then stake them prepared to get DDosed. Never tell people your RSN from a website and then stake them. If someone randomly add you and asks to box say no and add them to your ignore list.

I'd still stay off skype just to be cautious while staking.
