Really = Dr Tim (already banned scammer)

Greetings. Yesterday I was scammed by Really, aka Dr Tim. Bellow is the proof.

    Link to scammers profile: http://sythe.org/member.php?u=217850
Payment method: WU money transfer (details in screenshots bellow)
Banned account: unable to post a link due to search problems, Dr Tim on sythe.org (banned)

    Chain of events:

At 1:33pm CET+1 I sent a private message to Really in attempt to contact him and ask to be added on MSN.

    His topic: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1412069
    My PM: http://i.imgur.com/DlPIy.png

I've haven't given my info to anyone else, as you can easily check on my account. I only contacted two more people by adding them on MSN, R2pleasent and Busta505.

At 3:02 CET+1 I receive this PM response:

    http://i.imgur.com/v4I8E.png
    http://i.imgur.com/MgfV7.png - detailed pm

At the same time, he added me on MSN as Dr Tim (haven't suspected anything since I haven't given my MSN info to anyone else). He asked me of the amount and if I wish to sell, I asked for more time to talk to other buyers.

We haven't spoke till around 21:30 CET+1, and since I got no responses from two buyers I added on MSN, I decided to sell the gold to him. I was on my laptop with older Windows version, so I had no snipping tool to capture ss's. However, I copy pasted the whole conversation into txt file, only edited my personal info now before writing this report.

Never was his sythe.org nick mentioned before, as you can see on screenshots, he wrote it down first. And since he was the only person I gave my MSN contact to..

In the same time this conversation was going on MSN, we were waiting in-game for my friend to log. Scammer's battletag is Easy#2991, as presented in this screenshot.

Screenshots in-game while having a conversation on MSN:

Today, I was able to get a hold of him on MSN just for a brief moment so he could pretend me he is not really from sythe.org (supposedly he is Dr Tim), laugh at my face and ignore me afterwards.

I would appreciate if you could take a look into this.

Edit: I just found out that I am not the only player scammed by this seller/buyer, apparently he uses several different names in attempt to make sellers think they spoke with a completely different person. *sigh*

You need to recapture screenshots. You can download a tool such as Puu.sh if you still have the MSN window open.

Just for the record, Really posted this in a spam report:
Really - If you are reading this and want to add anything more to the report in your defense, please PM the moderator who is handling this report, which in this case is noamyoungerm.

Actually I just posted my mailbox there, so no, everyone can't see my msn.

If I was approached by an imposter, why did I receive PM's from Really - Sythe.org moments before we started our first MSN conversation (was added by his Dr Tim account)? Or was it someone else controlling his sythe.org account, because no one else added me on MSN that day at all. I was careful who I gave my information to, and waited to get a returning PM confirm before accepting someone on MSN (to be sure that is them).

As for his reputation, he doesn't really have any other then from buyers he sells to. Which brings me even closer to thinking how elaborately he scams small members trying to sell to him and then gets vouches for later big sales to R2 and others (considering there are no vouches for him buying the gold vs the amount he sells to R2 and others).

I am still unsure if Really is controlling both accounts or they are working together, but after seeing another person reporting almost the same thing, I am convinced there is something fishy going on here. However, I leave that to people in charge of such issues.

Screenshot of MSN account adding me moments after I received returning PM's on sythe.org from Really (ss's in op post).

    First: http://i.imgur.com/MgfV7.png
    Second later, added by: http://i.imgur.com/ZVxGm.png

I had no suspicions of who he was, because I received a returning PM confirming his identity on sythe.org in the same time he added me on MSN. And no one else added me at all that day, meaning if an imposter attempted to, I would have received another addy.

Just noticed a spam report by Really, saying:

A blatant lie and another nail in his coffin. If you check my account's forum activity on that day, I was active from around noon CET+1 till around 10pm CET+1 and not once did I log off from MSN during that period (I was looking to do some trading, why would I?). During that time I sent PM's to R2p and busta305, expected them to add me on MSN and was evaluating other potential buyers. I also spoke with "buyvirth" (another buyer from sythe.org) on MSN shortly after I was added by Really. If anyone else attempted to add me on that day, I would have known.

I can't provide exact time frames since I honestly don't remember, however I do know I dedicated that day to finding a proper buyer and had MSN active the whole day.

I did confirm his identity by receiving a returning PM and being added at the same time (a few seconds difference) on MSN, nothing else was needed since I knew who I was dealing with. Afterwards, his identity was confirmed in screenshots provided above.

My msn info was never revealed anywhere on these or any other forums, only my mailbox info where I received offers for my previous trading transactions.

If you check http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1420865, you will find real-time proof I was lacking.

I just noticed one of your mods quickly assuming what happened and locking the topic without any further investigation. This puts such an elaborate scam into even bigger perspective, especially when you take these factors into account:

    1. multiple scamming reports against the same forum user (if you check further, not just ava2 and me reported him)

    2. zero (yes, 0) sell-to-him vouches while his topic is strictly a buying one and he "proudly" claims to be supplying the largest re-sellers (obviously meaning he is buying the gold first) on sythe.org, yet somehow he manages to gather hundreds of millions of gold in such a short time? If you check 'supposed' vouches he received, the amount is closing to a billion.

    3. Exactly the same exiting tactic used on both ava2 and myself, him claiming he's not really, saying he scammed both of us, hoping really gets banned and similar. Yet ONLY ONE person added me on MSN that day, the moment I received Really's forum PM confirmation. Even a less intuitive person realizes by now that he is trying to cover his tracks by spreading misinformation, enabling scamming ring to go on. My mistake here for not recording our last conversation, when he laughed at my face and tried to pull the same crap as he did to ava2.

    4. After doing some account comparisons, I am starting to think this is not just one-mans scam, but a well skilled group of two or more people pulling these scams for several months here on sythe.org and other trading forums (considering the time frames of previously banned accounts, references coming from ava2's screenshots, crosschecking and realizing their activity on multiple forums starts/ends at the same time, exactly 15 days before I listed this scam report - just in case I need to point it out: they get banned on one trading forum and then Really pens his first posts on sythe.org the exact same day? and gets multiple vouches for selling huge amounts of gold coming from god knows where without any proof of him buying any gold, ever).

    Just a coincidence? Right.

Regardless of what you conclude here, even if Really/whoever is working with him do get banned, they will just move to another trading forum and continue with their foul practices (at least until new accounts they created here mature, so they can again say "look, I am an old sythe.org user, you can trust me"). Unless there is a way to somehow communicate with other large trading forum mods and share scammer's practices/info/habits, just issuing a ban here will have little effect on the greater picture.

    1. As I already stated, he has no reputation. As a buyer first, your reputation comes from people selling the gold to you aka their vouches, he has none. Use your imagination how he managed to acquire almost a billion gold.

    2. Being reported by multiple users, considering the amount of gold he sold, there are most likely more, but they probably fell for that crap he pulls after scamming someone, telling them this or that and accusing everyone, or they traded smaller amounts and they can't be bothered by writing reports.

    3. I offered Really to return the gold he scammed from me.

I am currently checking bans on other forums and comparing exact dates/time frames. I doubt I will be able to find something due to me being just a regular user, aka not able to see all the info. And on some forums, banned accounts appear frozen/their info missing. However, it certainly is not a coincidence him being banned on one forum and then penning the first post here on the exact same day.

Anything being done on the subject of Really the scammer? With his topic being updated, chances are increasing for more people to get scammed.

I don't really know what to say at this point. I'm gonna request a TwC for now
EDIT: Request reversed. Talked to Really and there simply isn't enough proof + he showed me his account in game and it no longer really that probable that he scammed.
