Is botting illegal?

They're better off just going a bogging website than a single otter so yeah extremely unlikely.

 

Closest thing to legal they can do about it is ban your account. In which you just retaliate and create more bots...

 

Offer of terms + acceptance = contract.

The offer= ToS
Acceptance= You agreeing to the contract.

It's a contract definitely.

When a person bots they devalue Jagexs' game and other players experiences of playing legitimately and therefore I'd argue that there would be room for damages, remember suing someone isn't always just about money, you can get injunctions against people playing the game, operating gold farms etc.

 

Yet it is damn near impossible to sum up the total amount lost and would therefore be damn near impossible to prove in a court case. A case is all about proof of damages when it comes to things like this and to sue a group of individual users would be much too costly and jagex would lose more than they would gain. How do you value a subjective experience?

A injunction to stop those huge farmers from farming would be a much better way to go, but even then it would be near impossible to stop. You setup another botfarm and have someone else run it while you supply funding would be a simple solution. Fighting sole botters is an extremely up hill battle and wouldn't be worth it.

Well I don't know if its illegal to create things to play for you but all I know of It's truly risky to bot because bot nuke happened and i go banned in a second when I left my bot on and came back re updated rs never read the notices and got banned but they didn't do anything other than ban my account
