PSP video format help

hey guys, i have some videos i want to put on my psp. they are .avi files i think, but my pc displays them only as "video file". i believe psp can run .avi format files, but when i put them on my psp it was displayed as "corrupted data". for those who dont know, it does that when the file is indeed corrupt, or a format the psp cannot handle. anyway, i tried using multiple converters for my files, trying to get them to mp4 files. i know the psp can play mp4s. well, everytime i put it into my psp, it still gave back the same response. i tried this with 20+ files using the same stuff, but to no avail. i know these files all work in both formats, because my pc played them all. i also know it isnt my usb to psp cable, because i have sucessfully transferred things onto my psp eg. pictures, videos(i origionally downloaded the videos that worked from psp2be on my psp) and they all worked. any help with this would be appreciated.

 

Try a video converter specifically for the psp, they all use different settings and everything.

 

i found a solution! after trying about 6 different programs, i found a program called xvid4psp, which is the only one that works!@!@!

 

Good, mp4 video's also are playable on a PSP btw.
