Basically I don't know anything about workstation mobo's can anyone point me in the right direction for decent multi cpu mobo's that support a large portion of ram as well.

Just hit up newegg and go to server motherboards. Bear in mind that building a full server will be very expensive.

Yes I know its just I have several computers I have built and it's just taking up way too much space to have all of them in my computing area so I'm hoping 1 badass will help take away I will probably sell my current systems to help pay for further upgrades on my server.

Well what are you looking to do with it? If your looking to game on it i hear server computers are not good for it. Havent looked into it much, just because of the cost. If you want i can make you a good server setup though.

ok if you want to that would be cool. and just a fyi I am a AMD fan, I prefer performance over reliability.

and what it will be used for is

my digital art [I create short action shows and what not]
    recording\editing my bands songs\covers
and the other portion will be for maintaining my current bot farm.

I currently have 7 computers running and they all have quad core and are in between 2.8ghz-4 ghz per core and have = amount of ram to max out the cpus.
so I would like to be able to have this or greater power with minimal space in my room taken up.

also how is the cooling on a server when running a workstation.

If you want a stability and performance and high power you should look to new Opterons, mobo with 4 physically cores, 64-128GB DDR3 RAM, ASUS server mobo, PCI-e raid controller with build-in 512-1G RAM(like LSI), and SLC memory based SSD HDD's, Seasonic power supply.
    24/7/365 guaranteed.

the only thing I am really worried about is I would like to find the biggest mobo [ allowing the most amount of processors and highest amount of ghz per processor.] and also it seems to be hard to find if a processor allows multiple processor use. I have been doing some searching on this part though and found my answer but im still looking for mobo's

    :D.

    Yeah, really expensive..

Anyway, How many bots do you run? 7 PC's seems like an exaggeration unless they're all pretty poor specs.

It'd be silly to build a server using an obsolete socket / cpu, use LGA 2011 not 1366

First, figure out how much you want to spend. Then pick a couple CPU's in your price range, then find a mobo for them, then RAM, then everything else you need.

It's not that servers aren't good for it, it's that they're much more expensive than a traditional gaming pc.

Here's what I've come up with..

Two of the baddest processors on the market, bar none, a solid motherboard to hold them in with all the new technology (USB 3.0, Sata3, quad channel RAM, etc..), one of the fastest SSD's available, and a beast PSU to power it all.

All you need to do is pick a couple things.

Storage - How much storage space do you need? Whatever you need, pick out enough WD Caviar Blacks (regarded as some of the most reliable HD's) to do the job. RAID if you like, not mandatory but makes it a better machine.

RAM - I'm not sure how much you need, but get a little extra whatever it is. It needs 240 pin DDR3, just like everything else. 1600mhz+ since that's what your motherboard supports, although faster RAM isn't going to be very noticeable. I prefer the Corsair Dominator series. Get the ones with the bigger heatsinks.

Cooling - Your best option is go with a custom liquid cooling setup. Shouldn't cost more than a couple hundred from the right place.

GPU - I don't know what you plan on doing with the computer, so I figured I'd leave this one up to you. If you want to game, pick out as many 680's or 7970's as you think you'll need and SLI/Crossfire them up. For professional graphics, (not gaming) check out the ATI FirePro's (HERE)

Case - I have no idea

Just my opinion on the whole thing.. And I built without a budget, since you didn't give one.

I run 5-8 epicbots per computer and I only have 6 running bots 1 is the one I am using now and use for my music\art. I had around 100 bots going at one point back before the first bot nuke now I cant even run half that.
all of them are bare minimum small HD most have 6 gigs of ram [ 2 have 8] and all of them are amd quad cores all phenoms. very cheap build for what they can do it's just annoying to have a giant refrigerator in my bedroom lol.
