Runescape is a game that has been around for a long time, the reason they're changing is because they're tyring to obviously take members from other games, which will never work because, well face it, JaGeX is a company filled with imcompitent fucks.

 

No one is "butthurt" not calling you a runefag.

People are simply arguing that RuneScape players and WoW players are two completely different bases.

It would be like comparing sport video game players (MLB, NFL, NHL, Fifa, NBA 2K12) to people who play only roll playing video games (FF, DG, Skyrim, etc). It is two completely different player bases.

RuneSape players want the medieval theme as where WoW users like the fantasy, universal world, theme.

If RuneScape players wanted the "Attack, eat, attack, eat..." features they would go play a game that has it, or creatures they can fly on, etc.. They simply don't, they enjoy simple little pleasures such as "Attack and wait".

I've personally played both, i quit WoW and hardly play RuneScape but lately RuneScape is becomming more like WoW.

It is no big secret RuneScape and WoW have somewhat of a rival vs one another, and in the aspect of Jagex attempting to steal ideas from WoW to convert their players to RuneScape, they're forgetting to think about their players, us.

If you've ever played RuneScape and have noticed, RS players were more happy during the first phases of RS2, when things were simple and easy. Now it is rare to find a player without a complaint because they're trying to do too much.

Don't flame because they don't want change, maybe it is all the enjoyment some of them have and someone is trying to take that away from them to persuade people who don't even belong to them to make a transition and earn themselves more money.

It is all part of business. They need to upgrade/change to adapt to keep current members interested, bring back old players, and attract new players. Why would they not want to take members from other games?

 

tbh I struggled alot when I moved to wow for abit so I can see why wow or other players who play multiple games would get a advantage

 

Actually, I think the reason why MOST people started playing the game is because you can play it anywhere at anytime on basically any computer. Than they found out after playing it, that they like it..

ALL games are easy tbh, you just have to get used to them. And like I give a fuck if you reported me.

 

it doesnt matter if theyre copying wow as long as its an improvement, wow copied other games as well, thats how things get better by evolving

 

I can't help but think this entire thread just went completely over your head.

The average RuneScape player, doesn't want change let alone a WoW change, hence the hatred towards Jagex. RuneScape users like simplicity.

 

This whole thread, you've basically been saying that people who play runescape are too retarded to play any other games, which is why they play this one.

The only thing simple about runescape, is it's controls.

where are you getting your information from, or are you just pulling it out of your ass?

Everyone I have talked to ingame about it, has been excited about it...The only people I really see complaining about it are at the GE talking all day and seem to not actually play the game, them and the people trying to make everyone panic so they can make some rsgp out of it.

 

The majority of the community, many members of Sythe, every pure clan, any clan to be honest is worried about it, RuneScape forums..

A little bit of research goes a long way, i would take time to do some before attempting to start an argument. Just a recommendation for you.

I am bias-free, I'll play the game regardless, I've been with RS since RSC and I personally enjoy the simplicity of the game and wish they would not change it but I understand their methods from a business standpoint.
